*Family: Mother (Susan) is a muggle nurse. She met Delilah’s father (Dave) on the London Underground and they quickly fell in love. Delilah’s father Dave was a hit wizard with the Ministry at the time. (He is now deceased). After a couple of months Susan and Dave got engaged and were married within a year. It was then that Dave told Susan that he was a wizard, although she was annoyed they worked through it and Susan became pregnant less then a year after being married. Delilah and her twin brother James were born just two months before their father Dave died in a freak accident.
*History: Delilah was born a twin into a mixed family. Her mother was a muggle nurse and her father a wizard working with the Ministry of Magic. Although Delilah was originally born into a magical background this soon changed with the death of her father when Delilah and her brother James were just 2 months old. Their mother decided to move back into the muggle world and returned to her native Ireland. The two twins were brought up with no knowledge of the magical world.
Their mother thought it best not to tell them anything about the magical world until they were closer to Hogwarts age. Therefore they grew up oblivious to their background. Although they sometimes wondered why they could do strange things, they never really questioned it, and didn’t find out their true identity until they were eleven years old.
Delilah grew up in a small house with her mother and her brother. Although at times life was difficult for the family as they had only a small amount of money their mother did the best she could for them and James and Delilah got everything they needed.
Both James and Delilah went to a muggle primary school-an all Irish one, so not only can they read/write and do maths but they can speak Irish fluently too. Delilah is very fond of sports and played on quite a lot of sports team such as gaelic, soccer, and tennis when she was in school. She also swam a lot. In general she had a good childhood and was given if not everything she wanted, everything she needed.
When Delilah and James were told about Hogwarts and their father at first they thought it was a joke and didn’t believe their mother. It was only when she showed them a few of their father’s old things, such as his wand and old broomstick that they finally (after much persuasion) believed her.
Delilah was exited about going to a ‘magic school’ and although she was sad to be leaving her mother and friends behind she couldn’t wait to go. James however was a different story. He didn’t want to go-believing that it was a waste of time and it would end his dream of playing for Dublin one day. At first he absolutely refused to go, claiming that his Gaelic was more important than some ‘magic school in the middle of nowhere.’ However his Mam insisted and Delilah eventually reconciled him somewhat to the idea-though he was not happy about the situation and given the choice would have preferred to stay in Ireland.
Although Delilah grew more and more exited every day, her enthusiasm failed to rub off on James, however she didn’t let this get to her. Knowing her brother as well as she did. Delilah was certain that once he got there he would be fine.
Delilah loved Hogwarts from her first day and settled in very quickly. She loves all of her subjects and is almost continually top of her classes. She spends most of her time in the library and has got a name for herself as a bit of a nerd, something which upsets her quite a bit. However, she does spend time doing things other than studying. She got a broom at the end of her first year and plays quidditch almost every day. Her favourite position is Chaser. She has also become very interested in the rights of other magical creatures such as elves and goblins. She has taken great interest in Reven Haine lately-something which really irritates James who doesn’t really care.
Her relationship with James has also been strained over the last while because of his schoolwork. James doesn’t seem to care about his grades and is barely scraping passes in most of his subjects. Delilah is fed up trying to get him to study, however she is under constant pressure from her mother who feels she should be doing more to encourage him. As a result the twins often fight, not that it changes anything.
Despite James being in almost constant trouble at Hogwarts, Delilah has managed to stay out of trouble for the most part, however she has received a few detentions over the years when she allowed herself to become involved in some of James’ more daring ideas.
---GENERAL CHARACTER TRAITS---
* Personality: Delilah is a very popular girl however despite this she is still rather quiet. She is confident of herself and her abilities though she doesn’t flaunt them. She is a very loyal trustworthy friend, and is always there for her friends no matter what their problem is. She is a kind, good natured person, and rarely gets into arguments, though she has her moments.
She doesn’t believe in bullying or in other people being ‘better’ than someone else just because of where they’re from or who their parents are. Delilah is a good listener, buts talks a lot among her closest friends too. She is very logical and always thinks carefully before she does something.
Delilah is generally a very cheery, happy-go-lucky type of girl and she always has a smile on her face.
* Likes: Delilah loves to read and write, and likes nothing better than to curl up in an armchair on a rainy afternoon and read. However she also loves being outdoors too, and loves playing sport-in particular tennis and swimming. Delilah loves sunny weather and being warm. She also loves the snow-though not the cold.
Delilah is a bit of a bookworm and loves finding out new information. Before she arrived at Hogwarts she had already read her complete set of school books and more that she had bought for ‘extra reading.’
Delilah loves being around her friends, and loves the company of others. She likes a challenge and loves to push herself to try new things or to do better then she did before. However unlike her brother, she never judges herself on what other people do, but instead on what she knows she can do.
Dislikes: Delilah hates the cold although she doesn’t mind snow or rain. She hates being disturbed when she’s reading unless the person has a very good excuse. She also hates being told to do something that she was going to do anyway, or something that she’s already done.
Delilah also hates being woken up before her alarm has gone off-something her mother used to do frequently. Delilah doesn’t like bees and is terrified of them.
Habits: Sticks her tongue out when she is concentrating. Also bites her nails when she is worried about something.

Delilah is exceptionally smart, that and a combination of her love of learning and her determination, makes her almost constantly top of her class in everything.
Delilah is very focused and rarely gets distracted from anything. She is a great friend and is very trustworthy. Delilah is a very hard worker and never gives up. She loves a challenge and loves trying new things. Delilah is confident and very self-assured. She is rarely fazed by anything and always seems calm and composed, no matter what the situation.
