---BASIC DETAILS---
* Full Name: James Nickols
* Date of Birth: 25th July 1996 (currently 14 years old)
* Place of Birth: Dublin, Ireland
* Gender: Male
* Race: Human
* Appearance:
* Occupation: Student.
---BACKGROUND---
* Heritage: Half-blood
*Family: Mother (Susan) is a muggle nurse. She met James’s father (Dave) on the London Underground and they quickly fell in love. James’s father Dave was a hit wizard with the Ministry at the time. (He is now deceased). After a couple of months Susan and Dave got engaged and were married within a year. It was then that Dave told Susan that he was a wizard, although she was annoyed they worked through it and Susan became pregnant less then a year after being married. James and his twin sister Delilah were born just two months before their father Dave died in a freak accident.
*History: James was born a twin into a mixed family. His mother was a muggle nurse and his father a wizard working with the Ministry of Magic. Although James was originally born into a magical background this soon changed with the death of his father when James and his sister Delilah were just 2 months old. Their mother decided to move back into the muggle world and returned to her native Ireland. The two twins were brought up with no knowledge of the magical world.
Their mother thought it best not to tell them anything about the magical world until they were closer to Hogwarts age. Therefore they grew up oblivious to their background. Although they sometimes wondered why they could do strange things, they never really questioned it, and didn’t find out their true identity until they were eleven years old.
James grew up in a small house with his mother and his sister. Although at times life was difficult for the family as they had only a small amount of money their mother did the best she could for them and James and Delilah got everything they needed.
Both James and Delilah went to a muggle primary school-an all Irish one, so not only can they read/write and do maths but they can speak Irish fluently too. James was always big into sport and played a lot of Gaelic football. In fact he was on the Dublin under-11 team and was captain too before he went to Hogwarts.
When James found out that he would be going to Hogwarts he was disgusted. He had dreamed of playing on the Dublin senior Gaelic team one day and would not be able to do so if he went to Hogwarts. At first he absolutely refused to go, claiming that his Gaelic was more important than some ‘magic school in the middle of nowhere.’ However his Mam insisted and Delilah eventually reconciled him somewhat to the idea-though he was not happy about the situation and given the choice would have preferred to stay in Ireland.
Although his sister was thrilled about going to a ‘magic school’ her enthusiasm didn’t rub off on James-even after he had been to Diagon Alley, and he got on the Hogwarts express grumpily and reluctantly.
ames quickly settled into Hogwarts and grew to love it. At the end of his first year he got a broom and quickly fell in love with quidditch. After sampling every playing position, James found that he was best at either Chaser or Beater. He spends most of his time practising quidditch and has ignored his school work, resulting in less than average grades and an angry mother. James’ lack of dedication to his studies particularly irks Delilah as she sees it as her duty to ensure that her twin does well in school. As a result, James and Delilah often fight.
For the most part however, James and Delilah get on very well and have both made plenty of friends at Hogwarts. James has also been in plenty of trouble over the last few years, mainly because of his inability to follow rules and his apparent determination to explore every inch of Hogwarts and its grounds before he graduates. He has, however, been unable to sneak out to Hogsmeade since all of the secret passages are known and have been blocked since the war.
Despite many detentions, James has never been in any major trouble at Hogwarts, due mainly to his sister’s influence.
---GENERAL CHARACTER TRAITS---
* Personality: James is generally a fun-loving guy who is passionate about any type of sports, though his real love is Gaelic where he played corner-forward and was captain of both his club and county before he left for Hogwarts. James loves life in general and is always the first person to try anything. His best friend is his sister and he would do anything for her-though he does love teasing her.

He also hates not getting his own way and sulks if he doesn’t-coming across as quite spoilt at times.

James sometimes gets his priorities wrong and focuses more on other things such as his various sports rather than his schoolwork. James isn’t great with animals-in general he just doesn’t like them, though that’s mainly because they never seem to like him.
