Tim in 2011? Help!

So, I'm looking for ideas as to what to do with Tim in 2011.

I've decided a fair bit so far, but having difficulty with the last hurdle.

Basically, Tim does a bit of travelling after finishing school, and develops a sort of desire to do something more purposeful than what he's been doing at Crennent's, so he gives up managing the store, at least full-time.

He's got enough money to live off just the profits from the business, so I'm thinking Tim could start working on something that betters the wizarding community or something of that nature, even if it's volunteer work. Whatever it is, it has to be interesting or intellectually challenging, not just mindless soup-kitchen-style work. I'd also like something with some roleplay opportunities.

He's good at thinking outside the box, is good with magical theory and has good foresight.

I'm stuck for ideas - anyone got any? I'd love to hear them.

Also, I'm in need of a new actor for Tim, too... needs to be small build and similar to the current one. The current one I have is just some random picture off the internet, so I can't do much with it since it's just *one* picture, which is why I would like to find a new one.

Jensen Ackles is buff, and hot >< i think he was looking for someone with a smaller build and younger. Jensen is in his thrities I think ^^ Shie doesn't scream 'Tim' at me. IDK what he would think about William Moseley but I don't see a Tim in there lol. I guess I see Tim as cute but not really hot, sort of like the nerdy cute ya know?

Maybe become a journalist? They get to travel the world, and write about their passions. Perhaps that fits something along the lines of your character?

You're right. Well not so much about the cute/hot thing, idk. I like the picture he has now because there is a distinguishing "sort of ugly" feature with the big nose.

Lol, Juliet, Padril is doing that as well as authoring his own book. I doubt Tim would want to do the same thing (he never does). But that's sort of on the right track.

Those first few are all... not... good. I want Tim to look more mature than that. If that's the cute then that's not quite right.

I love Michael Cera, I might use him. Not what I was looking for but he could do the job.

Sam Clark is from an Australian soap, lol. He's not quite right.

Ooh, I like Hunter Parish. Just googled some other photos of him, some of them are far from Tim but others would work.

Those are some pretty damn good ideas there Juliet. Some I feel I may actually steal for Padril (he CARES about people in 2011), but I'm fairly certain Tim is trying to steer clear of writing.

Yeah, those are quite good ideas Juliet, but I don't think they're quite right for what I'd like to do. (You can have at it, Jon).

I'm thinking that I'm going to take a different sort of route with a ministry career - something I'm still playing through in my mind. Thanks for your input everyone.
