History:
On September 29, 1988, Vera Alexander was born to Leo and Janet Alexander. For the first years of her life, her mother was sickly and always required the attention of her father. It was only a year later that she died of natural causes. The illness that killed her also became a common worry for Vera and her father always brooded over her, making sure she wouldn’t get sick. It was not until he met Marie Heralds, a nurse at the hospital where Vera was often taken for check ups, that he let up a bit and divided his attention again to his daughter and a woman. He married Marie soon after and she was quickly pregnant with a child that Vera felt would intrude upon her privacy and ruin her everyday life. Nine months later, Heath Alexander was brought into the world.
Born February 1, Heath a very healthy child and starting from a young age, he demonstrated an abnormal amount of energy. At a subconscious level, he always had something going through his head and his imagination was wild. He usually drew comics describing his views to his father and as he grew older he became more talented still with a pencil. His style of art seemed to progress at an alarming rate. His mother applied him to a muggle arts school for the young and gifted and he seemed to advance so alarmingly that at age 7, his muggle mother was not surprise to learn of the wizardry that existed in the family. Not a year later, Vera received her Hogwarts letter and left with glittering eyes.
While Vera was away at school, Heath attended his muggle schooling as his mother had requested and continued to hone his ability in the arts. Soon enough he was capable of drawing things from mere memory instead of having to look upon his target for inspiration. His specialty was expressions. Though sometimes people’s bodies were disproportional or even downright terrible, he always had an expression on their faces that made them look exactly as he had planned. The disproportional bodies were easily overlooked a majority of the time.
As Vera continued through school, Heath became more interested in the magical world. His first trip to Hogsmeade when Vera became a second year made him open his eyes to the possibilities art wise and he soon began to look at spell books related to creating art. As Vera entered her fourth year at Hogwarts, Heath followed her as a wide-eyed, excited first year. His skills in Charms were quite impressive as well as potions. But as her tried doing things like defense and transfiguration, frustration arose. He had no skill no matter how hard he tried in class and his blatant disregard for studying obviously hurt him badly. He only spent the amount of time it took to do homework in the library and then he went back to his art or talking.
Though he always seemed refined and conservative, he had a wacky side to him you only discover by talking to him.
As a first year, he got to witness the Triwizard Tournament. He brought the feeling he felt from watching into his art and created some pretty gruesome piece centering around dragons and giant spiders. As time went by, be witnessed the rise in the Dark Lord and quietly feared for his mother, who was a muggle. Vera on the other hand was living the high life. Her rude nature toward him was only fueled more by the ridicule of muggles. Her pureblooded elitism was looked down on by his parents and she was very distant. In his fourth year, Heath encountered many horrible things. The things he saw affected his art and he found that none of his giant spider drawings even compared to his horrid inspiration from that year. The only way he can look back at the memories is through those drawings. Many were replicas of memories he had endured during the Dark Arts class and other included scenes from the battle.
Even though Heath insisted, his mother refused to allow him to repeat the fourth year. She merely wished for him to leave the wizarding school quickly so that she can feel better about the whole situation that had occurred the year before. Heath is currently in his fifth year.
---GENERAL CHARACTER TRAITS---
* Personality:
Though he finds himself obsessed with the arts, his intellectual aspects are poor. He dislikes reading if the book has no pictures and finds studying a monumental waste of effort. His only real talent, academically is writing so he applies most of his efforts to discovering new ways to create art using magic.
His overall mood is somewhat hyperactive. His huge amount of energy give people that ‘stay away’ feel and he has few friends. He is usually mistaken for a crazy person or someone with a mental illness but his nice attitude can make a few people see eye-to-eye with him.
Though Heath may come off as a laid back sort of guy he has a strict code of moral he must follow. His need to obey rules and punish those who don’t sometimes scares a few of the younger population but he really just wants to make sure everyone is safe.
Even though his sister Vera hates his guts he still loves her very much and is always trying to find ways to keep her happy.
