Seeing the two siblings disagreeing wasn't anything new but Lucy was used to seeing this by now. "We could always go to Honeydukes after it stops raining. After I drag Michael out of that bookshop" she softly suggested.
Then she heard Delilah's suggestion about looking for themselves. "We can keep that idea as a backup plan. I'd rather find out through other means first before we risk life and limb" she added. Not that Lucy was afraid. She could deal with the Slytherin's if they were found but she didn't want the Nickols' to go through what she had. While some details were vague other memories were still in sharp focus and that abuse was the source of the nightmares Delilah would hear her have even now.

'We could always go to Honeydukes after it stops raining. After I drag Michael out of that bookshop.'
Delilah nodded. "Sure, I'd say we'll be here a while though, it's pretty heavy. She sighed loudly as she gazed out the window, completely wrapped up in her own thoughts. She would have liked to try brewing a polyjuice potion, simply to see if she could. She was positive that she'd be able to, and she'd like to prove it. And, she admitted to herself, the thrill of breaking so many rules all at once sounded like fun, though she'd never admit that to James. It was, she decided, too dangerous. They'd risk everything if they were caught and Delilah didn't think she'd cope if she could never return to Hogwarts.
'We can keep that idea as a backup plan. I'd rather find out through other means first before we risk life and limb.'
Lucy's words broke into Delilah's thoughts. "Yeah" she murmered in response, not really listening.

Lucy seen the rain pelt against the windows and visably sighed. They would be stuck here for a while so she said "I'll get some more butterbeers in if we're going to have to wait." She knew she'd enough pocket money from her aunt to last a Hogsmeade trip if she didn't go mad in the shops. Unlike James who had stocked enough pranking equipment for a war but Lucy had simple needs and likes in school. As long as she could keep her Nimbus 1700 going, quidditch robes and equipment and enough money to keep caring for her cat she was content.
So she headed to the bar and came back with three warmed bottles for them all. She knew they'd all hit Honeydukes but even there her needs were simple. Enough treats to give herself a pick me up after training.

I dunno about asking Peaves though, he'd guess that something was up and I wouldn't trust him to keep his mouth shut for us.'
"I wouldn't trust Peeves either" agreed James. "He'd probably tell someone we were up to something before we even did it.
"If we're careful I'm sure we'll be able to find a time when no one's around and we can do a bit of snooping. I'm not opposed to breaking curfew" he grinned.
'I'll get some more butterbeers in if we're going to have to wait.'
James sat in silence while Lucy was gone. Delilah seemed lost in thought and he figured it was best not to disturb her-he was positive he knew what she was thinking about and he knew by experience that the best thing to do was to leave her to talk herself into it.
