(Click here to read previous thread.) As Arabella finished her duties of choosing a wand, and walked out of the area, Adrian managed to be once more hiding in his Animagus form like he did once more. As being an Owl, Adrian gripped himself on the sign of Olivander's and watched closely to where Arabella was going. It seemed to Adrian that Arabella turned a right. quickly, Adrian thought of where this woman would be heading to next. She was a witch with a wand, No doubt about that, but what else did she need. What else? Ha! A bird! Adrian remembered hearing that her house burnt down soon after Juliet visited the area. Huh, Adrian would expects that Death Eaters had something to do with that. Just a hunch, right? From sign to sign, Adrian flew to, as he followed the woman to her next location.

Arabella had her new and certainly different wand stashed in her usual fashion. In a leather tube almost like a scroll holder and hanging from a belt round her waist. Her mother had gotten what she needed from the Magical Menagerie but Arabella needed a new post owl. She'd never had one in while she worked in Hogwarts since her late husband mostly used it. Now she was home and trying to rebuild a life she had to buy most things from scratch since she'd lost anything Sebastian had been storing for her in the fire.
That included valuable academic research and rare photo albums of dragons in the field. That however is a story for another time. So with a newly bought snowy owl in a cage she left with her mother. Next up was a robe shop since she needed some more clothes. Right now she was borrowing one of her mothers dresses and she looked like she was remembering both good and bad things.
Being measured up as usual Arabella had needed summer clothes for now. So that meant lighter fabrics for these long robes. Linen was her choice and if anybody looked through the window they'd find her on a stool trying to be patient.

Hm, it seemed to Adrian that he was wrong. The woman was merely a fashion statement; wanting anything besides that dress she was wearing, for it was most definetly out of statement. Adrian, being the fasionable wizard he was, could at least see that.
The man, once again, flew from pole to pole. He actually nearly slipped off of one, due to the rainy weather that was placed last night. Whew! Was that a close one for him. If he didn't catch himself, he would have truly been a bird brain laying on Diagon Alley's roads.
No matter, Adrian found a dark place to aparated himself back into the wizard very few no him as. Stepping into the store once more, he noticed Arabella in the store. A witch then approached him, saying "how may I help you?" Adrian simply noted that he was looking for a robe for his teen sister, who just finished graduating from Hogwarts.
His attention then shirted toward Arabella. He said nothing, for nothing did not need t obe said. Arabella knew exactly why he was hear...

The seamtress witch's assistant was assisting Adrian while the witch round Arabella's age was measuring her up taking her behind a screen to get other measurements she needed. The dress was seen to be pulled up and ended up hanging over the side of the screen. Behind this screen she was shown different samples and deep red, light purple and dark green were chosen. As well as looking through a moving photo album to determine other details. Such as sleeve styles or lack of them, sleeve length, where she wanted tucks and splits etc.
She could hear his voice as she put on the thin silk robe that would preserve her modesty. Her mother had gone on already with the new owl and she was alone. This time she had a wand and she knew why he was here. Probally to continue their conversation from earlier..

Adrian circled the witch that presumingly was known to be Arabella. However, not the Arabella he knew. Not the Arabella Juliet knew.
Adrian eventually was behind Arabella. Only a feet or two away, Adrian could see the different dresses that Arabella was looking at. He spoke up, feeling that it was appropriate for him to speak first.
"Green seems like a fitting color for you, miss." he said. Of course, he was also noting that green itself was a color representing Slytherins In Hogwarts to which represented Voldemort so many years ago. Adrian smoothly balanced his words with the remarks of the other dresses. "I mean, Red is your hair color. Most red heads tend to stay away from it..."

"As long as its not emerald green it'll work" Arabella replied in a measured voice. "I was a Durmstrang student so red and variants of it certainly work for me" she added looking back at Adrian as if this was just a casual conversation.
Which it was to the two witches in the shop with them. "Since you know so much about fashion would you recommend sleeveless, short sleeved or full flowing sleeve for summer dresses?" she asked turning the questions back on him. She already had ideas of her own given her body had to recover so much so that rules out sleeveless for now.

"Short sleeves seem to show others that you are living on the edge, something that I recently have adopted myself." Adrian gave a small laugh. "Personally, I think full flowing sleeves would be a pretty bad cover for someone that is considering hiding their shoulders.
Never the less, it is an outfit, and can be chosen if you like it. However those..."
Adrian took a step closer behind her. He touched her shoulders but only just slightly enough for the small hairs to feel the sensation. "... scars are a representation of your past, your loyalty to someone whom is not as far away as you think."
Adrian than continued to speak. "A woman once told me that the scars remind us that the past is real, and is something that could never be covered. I expected for someone with such a high representation to think the same."

Arabella felt the touch. She hadn't been touched that way in four years and she felt a shiver. The last time was making love with her husband a few days before the battle of Hogwarts. Now he was gone and it triggered more memories of better times. Times when she was somebody. Now she had nothing. Not even custody of her children.
"Four years in there. I lost everything" Arabella whispered as she felt herself tear up. "A career, a reputation and a livelyhood. I don't even have custody of my children. It would have been better if I had died" she added meaning this. She could never undo what she did and that guilt would also affect her daughters. Looking round tears were falling as she remembered the only man she ever loved and now was gone too.

Such a selfish thing it was to ask for death... prefer death... over living. There were os many people out there that wished to still live to this day, and show the wizarding world what they were made of. Never the less Adrian could understand, somewhat, what Arabella was going through.
The wizard lowered his voice as he spoke. "Better you die? Oh no, Arabella. To die in the cells of Azkaban is to show shame and weakness you have.
Or does it show loyalty? Loyalty to He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named? Many Death Eaters have fallen in those cells still truly believing that The Dark Lord's deeds were best for this world."
Adrian than controversized himself. "But I don't see that in you. Your loyalty, I mean. At least not on the inside, which proves to me that you are weak."
Adrian turned from behind. He tensed his fists together and then released them like a small firework show. "Open your eyes, Arabella..." Then he pointed at her with his index finger. "Just who sent you to Azkaban?." He made the motion again. "Who were the ones who made you suffer?" Of course, Adrian was talking about the Ministry. The Ministry of Magic and their cruel ways.
"And now, who helped you survive in that place? Who kept you sane during those years, and don't say Hugo, because we both know who truly kept your strings together..."
Adrian went closer to her face, her ears, and whispered softly. "I saved your life... Juliette saved your life, and for that, you owe us greatly..."

The fiery dragon was bubbling just under Arabella's grief and confusion. She had changed during her year teaching at Hogwarts and had gone into battle needed her loved ones lives to be threatened. Then she believed again, despaired a few times and was close to starving herself to death once.
Then Adrian cured her TB which also could have claimed her life but could she believe again like she used to. She didn't know but her daughters were what her life was about. Even if she hadn't custody of them.
"I'm not the same person I was five years ago. I can't hate people just because they're different or muggleborns. Somebody will kill me whatever I do in life. Either a vengence seeker or a Death Eater. So death will find me regardless. Do what you must" she added in a whisper but with a hint of firmness.
She may have owed the old cause she served but she wasn't sure if she could do anything for it anymore. As she dabbed the tears away with the long sleeves of her silk gown she knew she was facing the same choice Karkarov had to deal with. He had cut and ran and died a fugitive at the hands of his old friends. This murderess was facing death in the face and finding it to be a faithful companion. One she didn't fear and would actually find preferable company to the world she was now in.

"No, you are not. You are stronger, smarter, and tougher than ever. You now know who did this to you and why they were so bold. Deep down inside I know you want vengeance, and I know just how you can get it..."
Just after he spoke, thunder came from the outside. Rain began to pour and wizards and witches began to run in each and every direction. Small witches and wizards ran to Weasley's shop while others ran into Gringott's. Few manage to run into this very shop that they both were in.
The place slowly began to crowd as Adrian continue to speak. With this, the wizard spoke even more quietly. He mentioned how hard it was to keep her alive, and how risky it was for him to come there everyday for a single witch whom use to follow the Dark Lord. Adrian could have been caught. He could have been killed, but he still helped her day and night. Day and night he gave her medication for her soars, and this is how she thanks him?
Never the less, Adrian's voice was calm, and as he spoke, the wizard became more and more worried for Arabella. "I warn you Arabella. If you cross Ju... her[/color], you will find only death lies ahead. Do you understand this?"

"Vengence will only cost me the only thing I have left. My daughters. Can you understand that? I know this world hates me but perhaps somewhere I'm not known will be better. I did terrible things in his service and continuing this war will only bring suffering to more innocents.
My Dorcas dosen't even know what I look like and Lucia is probally forgetting. I wouldn't have put it past my inlaws to modify their memories so she wouldn't know me. You might risk much but I lost much. There's nobody except my parents who cares for me as a person. I'm a murderess to most people and a tool to be used in her eyes. Whatever I do is futile so why live?" she asked in a firm whisper just before the seamtress took the final measurements.
Then she was told she could come back tomorrow morning for the final fittings.
Giving Adrian a hard look she slipped behind the screen again and once dressed spoke again to him. "We can't talk properly here. Is there such a place we can have privacy to sort this out?" she asked.

Adrian glanced around too, noticing the other wizards walking in fashionably... wet. It was way too crowded in here. Was to noisy for Adrian's likings. Especially with his sensitive ears. Arabella was not worth the sacrifice of his hearing. At least to what he could tell.
Adrian, from what Arabella said, could understand the horrors of the Dark Arts and what it could do to a family. Adrian personally have lost some members due to the previous dark lord's bidding. However, he though for now it would be best kept secret until further notice.
"Yes, there is a place. My home. It is right outside of the wizarding world, and just north from Diagon Alley." Adrian took out a quill and some parchement and wrote down his address. "We could meet tomorrow night if you are available." he said.

Arabella folded the slip of parchment a few times and grasped it in her slender hand. She'd look at it later on. So it would seem they'd carry this on in privacy and she would at least get to wear one of her new dresses before she died. She didn't see any other future for herself the way people seen her.
"Ok, I'll be there" she replied. She'd mean it and would be there. So he'd better be prepared to face a fiery dragon.

Adrian looked outside. It rained, but did not pour. Maybe, for a few minutes, he could run from one location to the next. Then, the wizard could find somewhere he could rest his eyes as a hawk in a tree up somewhere. Yes, that seemed most appropriate for now.
"Then I will be on my way, Ms. Burke." he said as the wizard turned away from Arabella and headed out the door...
