Wren stirred softly. It was only around six-thirty in the morning, but she had gotten a lot more sleep than she was used to. Moving to stretch out, her arms hit Bane gently and it made her jump.
Snapping her eyes open, she looked across at him and it took her a moment to register. She really had slept deeply, it had completely skipped her mind that she had asked him to stay the night...she was still glad he had taken up the offer though.
Rolling onto her back, she stretched her arms above her head and arched her back to loosen her body. Letting out a yawn, she slowly pulled the covers back, so as not to disturb Bane, and slid out of bed.
Pulling her hair out of the now, almost non-existant bun, she threw the tie onto her dressing table and went into the lounge to clean and organize her paperwork for the weekend.

Bane could feel shiftings in the bed and slowly stirred awake. By the time he was actualy conscious though, Wren was gone from the room. He looked around groggily. Bane pulled back the covers and let his mind wander to last night... the feel of her warm body pressed against him, her lips on his, and the weight of her head on his chest as he slept. He stepped out of the bed slowly and felt the cool wood under his feet. As he rose, Bane stretched a little, feeling the knots that had started forming relax. He wondered where Wren was... she'd just abandoned him in her bed.

Wren was sat on the couch, a small mound of paperwork on the coffee table infront of her, and next to that was a steaming cup of muggle tea. Her hair was still astrewn slightly, and she had a pair of black frame glasses on. In her lap was a hard backed book, used as a leaning pad, with a few sheets of paperwork on it.
As she was doing the sums on the paper, her mind kept wandering to the previous night's happenings, and when it did, her chest did summersaults and her whole body tingled. But she couldn't help but wonder how he would act this morning, heck...she didn't know how she would act when he finally awoke.

Bane stood there for a moment, wondering if he should simply get dressed and leave, or if he should make himself at home in the sitting room until she returned. He frowned as he considered the second possibility. While last night it seemed like that would be what she preferred... maybe now she'd slipped out so early to avoid an awkward moment. HE gave a slight shrug and figured he'd fix himself a drink in the sitting room while he mulled over what to do.
He stepped through the door and saw her sitting on the couch. He leaned against the door frame and watched her work. He couldn't help but admire her quietly. He was nervous about how this morning would go... what if she thought it was all a mistake. What if she accused him of trying to slip her something in her drink....

Wren leant forward and picked up her mug, taking a swig of the hot liquid. Placing it back down, she leant back on the couch and tucked her feet up, the book now leaning on her knees.
Dropping her head back, she let it fall against the back of the couch and she closed her eyes, letting everything that had happened last night wash over her; All the emotions she had felt, both his and her's, the thoughts that had run through her mind, his body pressed against her's.
Running a hand through her hair, she pushed it out of her face and sat up. She relished on the thought that she would rather be in bed, curled up against him now, but she knew that the pile of paperwork needed to be done.
Adjusting her glasses, she bent her head down over her work again, completely oblivious to being watched.

Bane watched her movements and slowly started to cross the room, stepping as lightly as possible. She didn't seem to be concerned with what had happened last night. He figured he'd slip up behind her and give her a gentle massage. He was almost to her when suddenly he was overtaken by a loud yawn. He mentally cursed himself for that, but the yawn made him wonder what time it was... she must be an early riser for him to be yawning.

Dropping her pen, Wren looked up, startled. Taking in a sharp breath, she lifted her glasses to the top of her head and held her chest. "You made me jump" she said, breathless with a slight laugh.
Looking him up and down, she couldn't help but smile warmly. "Good morning..." She added, moving her hand, picking up her pen and placing it behind her ear. "...I didn't wake you did I...I tried hard not to..."

Bane's immediate impression of her mannerism was that she was surprised to see him awake, as proven by her question. But her warm smile made it clear that she was not regretting last night. He fiddled with his hands slightly at her question, it hadn't' been her that woke him up... but her absence, not that he was about to say that.
"It wasn't you that woke me, I promise." Bane said with a smile as he moved normally to take a seat next to her.

Pulling all her paperwork that was on the couch, which was only a few sheets, together, she tapped them on the table to even them all out and placed them back on the main pile.
Picking up her cup, she crossed her legs on the couch and held her cup in her lap. "I hope you slept well" she said cheerfully, Wren really was a moring person.
Strumming her nails on her mug, it suddenly dawned on her that she had forgotten her manners as a hostess. Unfolding her legs, she placed her mug back down after taking a quick sip. "Can I get you something to drink...or some breakfast, or both?" She asked, turning towards him.

Bane put a hand gently on one of her thighs to keep her from getting up from the couch. Her thigh felt silken under his rough hand and he gently stroked his fingers along the bare skin. He had to stop himself from letting out a long sigh of pleasure.
"It's fine, really. Just wanted to sit back with you on the couch and relax. If you're busy though I'll just sit here. Unless you want me to go ahead and leave...." His voice trailed off and his smile flickered slightly at the last point.

Wren looked up at him and raised an eyebrow "Leave? This early in the morning?...Don't be so silly. It's only like, six-forty-five." She said, looking up at the clock on the mantle.
Placing her hand on his, she gave it a gently squeeze and stroked it with a finger. "Let me go fix you a drink okay?...I feel bad if I don't."

Bane leaned over and gave her a soft kiss just beneath her ear and whispered softly, "If you insist, sweetheart. Just a cup of coffee... but you really don't have to."
Just as he finished reassuring her that she didn't have to he broke into another loud yawn and gave himself another mental kick. Something about Wren was causing his body to betray him left and right. He gave her a sheepish smile and squeezed her thigh softly.

Smiling sweetly, Wren leant over and kissed him on the cheek. "One coffee coming up." she said cheerfully.
Brushing his hand with her's, she rose from the couch, placed her glasses on the table and raised an eyebrow at him. "You really don't have to stay up on my account, you are more than welcome to go back to bed if you feel like it. I understand that this is early for most people, and not everyone is a morning person like me."

Bane gave a smile and chose to be bold, "I wouldn't sleep a wink without you next to me... it's why I'm up in fact."
Bane could feel his cheeks flush slightly at the statement. He normally wouldn't dare say soemthign like that to a woman after so short a time. But her actions toward him have been nothing but positive and encouraging. He figured he could be a little bold until she said otherwise.

Wren felt her cheeks turn scarlet once again, and she dropped her head forward, her messy hair hiding her cheeks. "I'll go get you that coffee..." she whispered, embarressed at his remark. Surely he didn't think she was anything that special or important.
Turning on her heel, she hurried into the kitchen and clicked the kettle on. As she did so, she leant against the work surface and breathed heavily. Was he really as in to her as she wanted him to be? Surely not....
