"Yeah, another reason I didn't say anything to you before I left." He, too looked around, and realised how correct Jaden had been. He wasn't even sure how long that exchange had taken, all he knew was that every eye in the room was on them, something he didn't like. Suddenly he started to feel slightly paranoid, and an inexplicable itch to exit the building overcame him. As much as he liked being the center of attention, given the current situation, it was freaking him out. He turned back to Jaden, and tried to act normal, putting on something like his old crooked smile, and saying. "Yeah, we surely do, hey listen, what say you to getting out of here, I don't like the look some of these people are giving us."

Jaden rolled her eyes and ran her finger around the rim of her sweet tea glass, "Are you sure you are not just making an excuse to get me alone?" She laughed loudly and picked up the half full glass and took a few short gulps out of slight frustration but mostly shock when she tried to fathom this whole situation. She looked at him for a few moments before chugging the rest of her glass and throwing money on the bar waving at the bartender before standing and winking at Harley, "Where to, sexy?" She asked as she picked up her purse and straighten the shorts that were way too short.

Harley smiled for real this time, and said. "Yeah, of course I'm trying to get you alone, but you can't deny it's what you want too." There was a hint humor in his words, but he knew his old attitude would still hold strong. He considered where to go for a moment, there were other places to drink, his home the best of them, but he wasn't sure if that was an option for him at the moment. So he posed the question in the hope that decision making would avoid him. "Hey, do I look like a guy with a plan? You chose, we can go anywhere."
He grabbed his glass, and, like Jaden emptied the liquid into his mouth, and grabbed out his money, a stroke of chivalry sweeping over him. "I'll get that, by the way." He announced as he swept her gold up, and dropped it into her bag, slapping his own money on the bar. He was surprised how steady she was on her feat, considering the amount of alcohol she had consumed. He stood to join her, pushing his stool in after him, and pulled his jacket around him.

Jaden glared at the ground in intesne thought as she considered the possible venues. Of course she was aware that he would like to go to his house, it was natural and what he had always suggested when they dated before. She was okay with that but uncomfortable at the same time, "Well...you haven't seen my new apartment yet right?" She asked casually trying to hide the fact that she was trying to remember whether or not the place was presentable. Shrugged she decided to just wing it and said, "It's here in London."
She took a few steps forward and suddenly felt the weight of the alcohol she'd consumed before. She had forgotten how wobbly she got and with the distraction of Harley she felt almost sober...almost. She stopped quickly to catch her balance without letting Harley see her struggle to keep up as he paid for his drink. She hadn't caught him sliding her gold back into her bag. She turned slowly to smile at him brightly before taking a deep breathe and stepping quickly to the door as if to use its frame to hold herself up.

Harley noticed that she was having some trouble walking, and whispered under his breath. "Idiot." He was half about to help her, but she was so stubborn that she would never accept that she was drunk enough to require assistance. He really had no desire to go to her apartment though, so he said, as he joined her in the doorway. "Well, if we're going to someone's home, let's go to mine, I can apparate us there. I have to go there anyway, to check on some stuff, and you haven't seen the inside of it yet." He really did need to go home, and aside from sleeping in a familiar bed for once, he wanted to touch base with his elf.
((Who would also prove his worth in the morning.))
"What say you, princess?" He whispered as he stood behind her, wrapping his arms around her waist.

Jaden felt lost in his arms. She lean back into him and closed her eyes breathing out, "Okay." She opened her eyes suddenly and pushed herself away and toward the door. She pushed it open and tumbled into the alley laughing and turning to look at him. She knew the motion was random and strange but it was her only reaction to the reminiscent feeling that was coursing through her veins. She didn't want to feel so attracted to him so suddenly it made her feel easy and naive. She didn't want to spoil him and make him think he could just come back and dominate her life all the sudden despite the fact that he definitely could and will from the looks of things.

((Ah, but Jaden is Harley's world, and world domination it one of his specialties.))
Harley decided a bit of drama was in order, so as she stood out in the muggle street, he pounced on her, gripping her tightly, and disappeared into that uncomfortable abyss, disapparation. He had to focus extra hard because he had to drag her with him, without her assistance, and it didn't help that he was being slightly affected by the numerous alcoholic beverages he had consumed.
((Will be continued at The Duke Manor.))
