Reflections and Concerns so Far

I know this, but it makes it hard for a character like mine to get in touch with people if they are starting something new (along with making a new plot.) I had to change some things in Juliet's profile, delete some things that included people's characters, and must add blank information.

It was only inavoidable to change a character because peple tend to stepped over a character's boundaries and description. I believe that this lead to other personality traits along with inappropriate character additions.

This may be the reason why your character seemed different than before. I am not saying you are a terrible role player. I think you are great, and desearbed that member of the month. It is jsut one of the conclusions I have made that might have been the reasoning for your character to change.

Yes I know. As you should probably know, and if you don't I'm telling you, Jaden was my very first EVER RP character. Never having experience with this kind of thing before her made me change her into something that I saw fit to role play without even thinking. At the time I was simply too nice to deal with a mean role like the Jaden Aerins I had in mind so she began to transform into someone I found appropriate.

As my skills enhanced, I realized my error and began working out a plot to go along with the character change. It turned out pretty well considering but I really didn't like the idea of having a completely false profile in the data base and also did find my character being in Slytherin very appropriate. Of course I still liked who my character had become ( since her personality is almost the same as me ) and decided I'd make a new profile that portrayed the character Jaden had become instead of what I had planned her to be.

I believe your character is made quite well, and understand that you were new to the roleplaying world. It is hard to start new.

However, I do not believe that this was everyones escuse. People changing their character into something else because they did not want to be in Azkaban or be exiled is my main problem. It would be fine if one or two did it but the whole order? Thats what ticks me off.

Trust me, i know it is not an easy thing to do. I gave up my teaching career along with my shop in Diagon Alley, but if I can do it, so can others.

I cannot count how many times I have said this though. People need to see that joining the Death Eaters is not just a game in the rpg world. Pardon me if this is bold to say, but there are consiquences in being caught, and people's characters whom were loyal did not face this properly.[/color]

But what you are arguing is on a different platform altogether, yes I am annoyed that people are making ridiculous excuses to get their characters out of Azkaban, but while that is irritating, it is also understandable. While you might be able to play a captured ex-Death Eater, some people are incapable of doing so, and I will say right now that people realising their flaws before making a character that they can't rp is a good move. Example, I will openly admit that I am not good at role-playing characters that are too powerful, because I know that I am incapable of restraining that power. This is the reason that I weakened Harley in the first place, and why he is no longer OOTP, and he isn't working two jobs, I know that I will lose myself in those ideas.

However, I do agree that we need responsible people to fill in the blanks in the site, and like you said, it is irritating to see perfectly capable people slip their way past a useful plot character. I would, although prefer the people that do chose to take on such a character, to make sure that they are fully competent. If they are not, the character is going to fail, and the plotline is going to have some issues, just like the old TWOM.

Oh, and by the way, I am enjoying this discussion, if you remember me on the old site, I did like a good argument, if I seem offencive, or overly argumentative, I am just getting way too into the chat. Oh, and feel free to pull me up, James or GMODs if I am getting too off topic, <3.

I respect that you have openly agknoledged your weaknesses. A true roleplayer knows this best.

And I do take consider of your argumental point on our descussion. I myself could not find a good enough plot to escape Azkaban for magic tends to make it impossible. This would be the reason why my character is a run away and is trying to get everyone to group up. It is a hard task to do, but must be done. people are meant to live together. If not, they tend to loose sanity, and would eventially, die from it.

Especially in Azkaban. Arabella is all by herself in that posting world. However, I did not put my character in there due to the fact that i could not find a compromisable escape from there. This may also be the reason why people are so against in volenteering their time in that prison.

But there is, like I said, no escuse for completely changing your character because you do not want them to be exiled or in prison.[/color]

There are plenty of excuses Juliet. Some people may not be happy with their characters anymore, and want to change them. 90% of people who make evil characters have no experience with roleplay, and after they have properly experienced it, decided that 'evil' wasn't exactly their best style. Indeed, a character who is described as being evil I would usually refuse right from the start. Most new people tend to either make 'perfect' characters or 'evil' characters. With experience they find something comfortable in between and stick with it. Your accusations are very unfair to people who simply want a new role for their character.

Most of the DE's would of died anyway. Or been captured. A lack of heart rate makes roleplay very hard.

Right. I think I will use it. lol. I just liked green that was all. Seeing how I heard that it was hard to read, I guess I'll have to give it up

But I believe I said earlier that I am referring to the people whom just want to change it due to the fact that the Death Eaters are no more (which are few, but still out there). I understand the fact that there are those who wish to change for there needs, and see that is for the better. Just changing so they won't have to run away is my main concern.
