Gender: Male
Race: Human/Wizard

Occupation: Shopkeeper
---BACKGROUND---
Heritage: Pure-blood
Family: Wife: Susan Samini, owl breeder Daughter: Suki Samini, Hogwarts student
History: Tristan was born to a very well off Family in New York City. Both of his parents were well known and respected in the wizarding world. His mother was a well known magical artifact dealer, while his father was an auror. He grew up pampered and acknowledged.
No matter how popular he was in public, he led a troubled home life. His parents disliked each other with a passion, but felt obligated to remain together after they had him. Even that obligation was weak; neither of them actually wanted him. He was often left with nannies so that neither parent had to deal with him.
When he turned eleven he went to an American wizarding school. He quickly became popular there. He was handsome, wealthy, and he had the highest marks in every class, except one. Care of Magical Creatures. A brilliant young girl by the name of Susan Kent beat him in every exam in that class. Soon enough he was infatuated.
Despite the fact his home life, he still managed to come out arrogant and snobby. Part of it was that he was pampered individual, evrey one wanted to be his friend. It didn't matter if they only wanted to gain from him,or if they actually liked him. Plus the fact that he was used to luxuries at home, even with an abusive family. You could say that his past has made him believe that he should only look after himself.
When they were in their third year, he asked Susan out. They dated on and off throughout school and afterward. It was an odd relationship. He was manipulative and snobby, while she was funny, good-natured, and, friendly. Eventually they got married; they were 28 at the time.
By the time they were 30 they had a daughter, Suki. In order to raise her how they agreed to, they moved to a small wizarding community in Maine. There Tristan opened a book shop and Susan began to raise and train owls.
When Suki turned five, the marriage started to fall apart. Tristan became warped when his parents died, leaving him none of their fortune. Slowly he began cheating on Susan. She never found out for sure, but she had her suspicions. Susan also started to become unhappy with the marriage. She had always wished to travel the world, yet never had the opportunity. When an offer to move to London came shortly after Suki’s ninth birthday, they were quick to accept.
Tristan’s shop in London was a quick success and he was able to return to the lifestyle he had known as a child. With every party he attended, he became less and less attached to his family. Continuing to cheat in London, he was caught by Suki. Threatening her with her life, he managed to make her keep her mouth shut.
Much to Tristan’s growing displeasure, Suki took after her mother the older she got. He often forced or tricked her into doing things or learning popular talents to further his own social status. If he asked anything of her directly and she so much as questioned him, he punished her severely.
Susan’s career took off just as quickly as Tristan’s. Soon she was asked to travel and research creatures across the globe. She was quick to take the job; it was her dream after all. Tristan sent Suki with her mother as Susan left on her travels. With his family now gone, he was able to continue to climb the social ladder with a much greater speed.
By the time the Dark Lord came to power, he was well known and liked by most major wizarding families in England. Despite Susan and Suki’s involvement in the war, he was never bothered nor did he lift a finger to help.
When Suki was sent to him, he grudgingly took her in. He found a much smarter and more mature girl when she came, despite her odd behaviors around animals. Knowing that he could no longer trick or scare her into things, he left her alone. For a month things went smoothly and he thought that he might be able to handle have his daughter around. That all quickly changed though.
When Suki insulted the ministry official, he could see all his hard work slipping down the drain. Furious, he insulted and humiliated Suki in every way he knew how. Figuring out how to hurt her most, he sent a forged letter to Susan from Suki. With her mother hurt and refusing to talk to Suki, Tristan sent Suki to Hogwarts.
Now he spends his time trying to heal what damage Suki made to his reputation. While he’s busy with his status, he refuses any contact with Suki. He has also blocked their home from any visitation by her and refuses her entry to his shop.
