General Little Update

This past few weeks we've collectively slacking a little. I wont try and sugarcoat it because its pretty plainly obvious... Sorry?

I need to go to bed now, but now that my new laptop is (almost) set up, I'm going to get back to work tommorrow. There's some posting that needs to be done, some regular housekeeping, and I'm going to make an effort to do some major tidied and reordering of a few things, specifically in the kind of information portrayed to guests - I intend for people to see our full potential before they have to join and to simplify and streamline the whole process a little.

I'll also be posting our plans for the Hogwarts summer break - we'll be archiving and such, but, I believe, in a much better manner than has been previously seen around TWOM. Stay tuned.

If Patrick Clinger from Proboards keeps his promises, we should also be seeing the Proboards v5 Beta in the next month or two. That will definitely be interesting.

I need to thank Jaden for her continued presence in our little dark age of sorts. Rockzorz.

There will also be no Member of the Month for June - I don't feel it does the position justice to only have the member in the spotlight for a few weeks.

And Zephyr, I know, I'm sorry. It'll happen soon.

I have no intention of letting WR die, folks. School forced me away from a little bit, and then it can be hard to build the mentality to apply myself for a little while after that (remember, in Australia we have our Summer break in December/January). I'm not trying to list excuses, just telling you guys how it really is because I feel you deserve nothing less.

But seriously, though I did sign on mostly every day, sometimes I'd be gone for days at a time but I made an effort, I didn't post much at all. Mostly because there were hardly any updates.

I must say, though, that just recently my thread with Susie in the Three Brooksticks has started up again and she is keeping it relatively active! That gives me hope! Thanks Susie, I needed some of that!

Anyway, I also want to say thank you to all those people, few there may be, that stayed active recently. It must have been hard because this is really the hard time of year where all the excitement is going on. For us Americans, or at least most of us, it is summer vacation or soon will be. We all had the finals and now our vacations and everything is going a bit slow.

Then the Aussies are busy with whatever they do so yes, I thank all that stayed active and hope you continue to be that way!

I learned something new today. I did not know that Australia had their summer break at a different time.

I do not mind at all James. Things get in the way, and sometimes out of hand. I am just glad that you are back, and am greatful for the staff to be active during this time.

We're in the Southern Hemisphere. Summer is December to February for us.

And we don't really call it 'Summer Break'. More like 'bigass holiday'.

*Bows* What can I say...I deserve a medal! lol Haha! Same thing happens this time of year on all the boards though-everyone's too busy to post, what with exams finishing up and holidays...

On all the sites I'm on there's not near as many people as normal at this time of year...*sigh*

I logged in today, and found that I was forced to pick my gender option. Personally , I do not like to give it out because I do not want people to judge me on it. is there any way that can be disabled?

You were forced to pick your gender? You don't have to choose one...and it doesn't say anything about your gender in your profile?

When I logged in, it said I had to pick my gender to get my logged on the site. I think it is something new.
