Family: Xenophilius Lovegood (Father) and (...?...) Lovegood (Mother Dead)
History: Luna's parents are both magical. Her father is the chief editor of "The Quibbler" and her mother was an extraordinary witch who loved to experiment until an experiment had gone bad and killed her. Luna was nine when her mother and she had witnessed it, which is the reason why she can see thestrals. Her father raised her by himself after the insident.
During her life at Hogwarts she was sorted into Ravenclaw and befriended Ginny Weasley. During her third year, like most she signed up for Divination, CoMC and Study of Ancient Runes for elective Courses. During her fourth she befriended Harry, Ron, Hermione and Neville. She was a member of Dumbledore's Army and was there at the fight at the ministry to help her friends defeat the Death Eaters.
During her fifth year, she was very important in the lives of her friends. She comforted Hermione after Ron was rude to her and attended Slughorn's Christmas Party with Harry. She was one of the few to fight the Death Eaters and one of the many to attend Dumbledor's funeral.
In her Sixth year she was kidnapped by Deatheaters and was held imprisoned in the basement of the Malfoy Manor. After being rescued she helped Harry sneak into the Ravenclaw Common Room to see the replica of Rowena Ravenclaw's Diadem.During the battle she was the one who helped Harry sneak away.
Luna and her father attended the 2003 (1994 in the books) quidditch world cup and had camped there for a week.
In her room Luna has a portrait of Harry, Hermione, Ron, Ginny and Neville hanging on the ceiling of her room which are connected together by the letters "F-R-I-E-N-D-S".
