Hey Guys!

I know that I haven't been on much recently and I apologize for that! I could only get on at school and such because my computer was, and is, still NOT turning on. Anyway, that's not why I'm posting this.

If you keep up with country (or world in some cases) affairs then you would know about the category three hurricane that's rolling into Texas. Guess what guys! I live in Houston...well...more like La Porte-ish Galveston but WHATEVER! Then point is I have been ordered a mandatory evacuation and the storm surge itself could put my house udner water.

Now I know all of you will worry about me...okay maybe you won't worry really at all after making a post here. I'll try and keep you all posted if I can get some internet with my phone but I won't be doing any posting probably after noon today besides in this post. If there's anything I need to finish up or something you'd like me to do I cab try and get it done.

I'm afraid member of the month will be further delayed by this because I have failed to get my computer running and there is a mental block keeping me from remembering who I chose. I'll get those files though! No need to worry!

I'm not sure if you guys want to be updated or not, if not post here and I'll not spend time doing that but if anyone wants to know whats up or whether I'm dead, then I'll gladly keeping posting...or something like that xD

Oh, I had heard about Ike... Sounds like a huge typhoon!

Hey guys! Here's a quick update!

Hurricane Ike has increased in size to about 70 miles in diameter. It covers nearly 9/10ths of the Gulf of Mexico and is already flood alot of area back home. The Galveston Seawall, which is 16 feet high and was built for the specific reason to cut back on flooding, has almost been overcome by these intense waves.

The area my house is in is supposed to be under water but I'm not sure what's going to happen. You don't have to worry about me. I evacuated and it took 9 hours to make a 3 hors commute to Dallas and t may have been pointless. Ike is supposed to be at Tropical Storm level when it comes through here. I guess I almost didn't avoic anything but storm surge xD

Anyway, CNN said last night that staying in Galveston and Southeast Houston was 'certain death' and those who chose to ride it out must be 'fatigued with living'. Pretty scary stuff!

On a personal level I'm in a shity hotel room in Plano with my parents and little brother and 5 animals, 2 dogs and 3 cats. I got food poisoning from the room service and my life is pretty much crap right now but I'll continue to update as ofter as I can get to my mom's laptop and the off chance that it will have internet access.

Heylo! Jaden here reporting from Plano, Texas.

I haven't gotten to a computer much but my moms laptop just opened up momentaily...

I don't have much I can say update wise because the TV isn't updating ME! I called a friend who stayed home in Clear Lake and she said that alot of tree were down and the wind is still blowing up to 100 miles per hour. I just saw some footage showing a hotel near my home. Over night a couple of walls caved in and the lobby is covered in debris.

Just outside the hotel, in the parking lot, there is a sail boat! ZOMG! Anyway, my other friends house has been completely underwater for a good portion of the night. He's safe though, he was in downtown on campus.

Wish meluck on my return home tomorrow and I'll give you any other news I can possibly muster. I can probably post right now as well since there is no dyng need for someone else to use the computer. ;P

Good News: The only damage done to my house includes gutters falling, fences flying away and tree limbs on the lawn.

Bad News: I may be without power for a good 2 weeks. Right now I'm in a hotel room on my mom's laptop so I can be on today and aybe part of tomorrow but after that...

School is out until further notice, I have no power and I'm told my house is a little worse off than previously anticipated. I'll be returning home tomorrow unless we gather enogh money to stay out here. My friend lost her house completely and is no living in a shelter on galveston island. There are almost 3 million people without power in my area alone.

All the businesses along the 'Seawall', mentioned in my first post, have been destroyed...like boards and broken glass destroyed. A building in downtown Houston, 200 stories or so, had all its windows broken out. I guess I do have a few mor eupdates coming unless I can't access WR while we are out of power. I will try and get on as much as possible and I have until tomorrow that this laptop will have internet. I'll get back to all of you eventually.

Wow... I can't believe all that happened! Since in Spain there aren't any tornados, hurricanes or any of that stuff, Idk, it's hard to see (hear it from you) it for real and not just some guy on TV. I feel bad for your friend though, not being able to live in your own house, what's s/he going to do?

Well, I hope everything goes well, if you for some reason have to move to Spain, you're welcome to com to my house ^-^ (that way I won't be the only one from spain, muhahha...srry) LOL. I just hope you don't have to make up all the days you weren't in school later on (that's what happened to my friend in Florida...which really sucked.)
