Arabella heard Mr Olivander arrive back and speak again. Judging by the boxes he had it looked like he'd found some likely replacements for the wand the ministry snapped on her. She have looked a bit distracted at this point but now she was all business since she had other places to go to today. Oh the delights of shopping with your mother who only needed owl treats where she was now.
"Ah, oh... Um, I'm all done, thanks. Arabella and I were just catching up."
"O.K." he said. "Ms Arabella, shall we try out a couple of wands for you to test?"
"Thank you kind sir" she replied and picked up the first wand giving it an experimental swish and flick. Having been through this once already she was expecting the process to be chaotic and disruptive to his shop. Just like it always was.
She'd just about caught the change in Adrian's look. Now he looked distracted, the same look that a young Sebastian Burke had worn on his face the first time they'd met as teenagers. Again it had been her long flowing red hair that caught his attention and started them on the road which led to marriage and the birth of their children. He was the only man she had ever loved and they made a long distance relationship work since they studied in different wizarding schools. Him in Hogwarts and her in Durmstrang.
Death had separated them while Arabella was in Azkaban and she still hurt when his face came to mind. Especially when she remembered things like them making love after one of them returned from a long trip or playing with the infant Dorcas when she was born. She couldn't think about another relationship right now.

So a few wands later and the normal chaotic magic that followed Arabella had a wand. Elder, 9" long with a thestral mane hair core. One which suited her given the connection with magical creatures she could see given the number of lives she'd taken over the years.
Death was a close companion to her and would probally claim her soon given the few threads she had still connecting her to the outside world. If she didn't die at a Death Eaters hand somebody else would certainly kill her eventually. So much revenge still had to be taken in this post war world.
