Full Name: Aviana Blythe
Aviana [ay-vee-AHN-ah, meaning: Bearer of Good news, “People with this name tend to be creative and excellent at expressing themselves. They are drawn to the arts, and often enjoy life immensely. They are often the center of attention, and enjoy careers that put them in the limelight.
Blythe [land of gentle/pleasant streams]
Date of Birth: April 2nd 1991
Zodiac: Aries --
Adventurous and energetic; Pioneering and courageous; Enthusiastic and confident; Dynamic and quick-witted
Selfish and quick-tempered; Impulsive and impatient; Foolhardy and daredevil
Place of Birth: London, England
Gender: Female
Race: Human, witch
Appearance: Aviana is 5’8” an average height; slim; light skin with the slightest tan; high cheek bones which sometimes make her cheeks look sunken in; a few light bruises and scars on her leg and arms from her rough and hands on childhood. She has shoulder length, wavy, dirty blonde hair, with natural dark highlights; usually kept short but may have extensions put in and straightened. It is usually left down and the waves of her hair are always in a messed up, moused style, although she does straighten her hair occasionally when she can be bothered to. She has grey coloured eyes that are usually very clear, which means they tend to reflect the surrounding colours: they appear lighter in direct sunlight but when out of uniform, at first glance her eyes appear dark and in set as the rims of her eyes are always lined with dark eyeliner.
When out of her school uniform her taste in clothing ranges from chic fresh to leather corsets. Her fashion choices aren't to follow the latest trend, but she rather goes by how and what she feels like for the day, no matter how against the crowd the outcome may be. Lucky for her she's blessed with the ability to pull off most fashion, and taste and coordination. Her attire does lean more towards the solid colours and anything that stands out and instantly gives off a strong impression. She likes big, bold, bright, and out there that just announces "Aviana has arrived" wherever she goes.

Occupation: Musician/composer
History: Aviana was born into a normal muggle family, well, maybe minus the normal. She was given birth to in a musical auditorium while her mother was playing in front of an audience of people, and thus began her future in music and her love for attention. She grew up in an apartment in London with her father and mother and what would appear to be a cluttered and disorganised place to outsiders. Musical instruments, sheet music, paints and canvases are usually seen strewn around the apartment and so Aviana grew up with these creative influences since she was born.
Ever since she could open her eyes she had been exposed to cameras and film, her father often carried around a camera and constantly took pictures of her or filmed her. When she began to learn to stand and walk Aviana always wanted to stand up close to the lens of the camera, and as she got older there are many photos and videos of her posing or dancing. It was easy for her father to capture these moments considering he was usually at home as he has a studio in the basement of the apartment building where she spent a log of time when she was young; her mother was either out at a performance or with a client or she was practicing and concentrating in their apartment. Once she became older she took an interest in music and began to take piano lessons at the age of five, dabbling a bit with other instruments she got her hands on. When she was seven her mother noticed her voice and she put Avs into singing classes.
In between this she began going to school at the local public school. The teachers called her hyperactive, disruptive, selfish, and rude to the other children and adults. Her parents disregarded what the teachers thought and only took her energy as taking after their own eccentricities. After getting into a fight with another student, where Avs was able to pin the other child down and pull at her pigtails, for the millionth time at the age of nine, her parents put her in home schooling and self-defence/martial arts lessons. From then on she was homeschooled. Avs main friends were usually the tomboys or boys. She wasn’t interested in dolls or frilly, pink dresses like most of the girls; she was more likely to be seen running around getting dirty and muddy with the boys playing games and sports. Her ability to play the guitar also helped her to get along with the boys. A couple of years into being at Hogwarts did become more interested in clothes and make up.
Aviana performed traditional pieces in front of many audiences for her parents but what she really wanted to sing and play was much more in tune with the younger generations. She took the opportunity to play what she really wanted in talent shows. Her influences came in the form of rock, indie, and alternative artists but she also acknowledges and loves the classical pieces that her mother constantly played in the apartment. As a sign of submitting to her own interests, her parents bought her an electric guitar for her ninth birthday.
Her family did a lot of travelling, especially when her mother was performing or her father had an exhibition. On these occasions the whole family would usually go if it did not disrupt their schedules. They’ve travelled to various places all over the world, where Avs was able to sate her liking for the extreme and adventure.
When Av's received her letter to Hogwarts there was much surprise and confusion as they were muggles, but it all started to make sense when looking back at her childhood. Examples: when she was just starting school, there were times when she would know she was in trouble and when running to find a hiding place she would all of a sudden find herself on the other side of the school no where near the scene of the "incidences" [this was before she was confident enough to stand up and try to argue her innocence]; there was once, just on a quiet street, she had been approached by a suspicious stranger and she screamed for help so loud that the strangers ears began to bleed, allowing her to run home; it also explained when she was two, she could be found in her mothers music room, that was always locked and the key never removed from her mothers bag. So, it wasn't long till curiousity got the better of Av's and she was exploring Diagon Alley and boarding the Hogwarts Express. This definitely helped her parents in deciding whether she should continue being homeschooled, or sent to a proper high school. Upon first arrival at the boarding school, Aviana was still the rough and tumble tomboy and had a reputation of being trouble. She'd skip the odd class or so every once in a while with the lure of a beautiful day, she preferred fist fights rather than pulling out her wand, and argued frequently with other children that only stirred her up because they knew they could.
It was after her 2nd year, when she was on her last few chances, and during the summer holiday that things began to change with Aviana. She had met a boy while out in London one day, saving him from a possible incident involving a group of bigger boys. This muggle boy by the name of Beckett was just the balance that Aviana needed to squash a bit of that aggressiveness out. He introduced her to fashion and drilled her about his philosophies, which kind of had an effect on her even if Av's would never admit it. Over the next few years he became her best friend, corresponding by owl during the school terms, turning her from the rough and tumble tomboy to a slightly more reserved, fashion crazed loon; even though she still does get into the odd bitch fight [she still prefers fists to wands]. From her third year onwards she forced herself to attend classes a little more, and her grades picked up slowly, quite a surprise for everybody. Don't get her wrong, she's still in your face spontaneous, she just knows a little more self control. Now if she would only use this self control a little more often...
So, her life so far had been very easy and normal. She was use to getting what she wanted and knowing how to deal with situations she didn't want. When the war came about it all changed. The first signs were seen in mainly muggle newspapers, but her parents and she knew that something was about in the wizarding world. They stayed put for as long as they could, Aviana never returned to Hogwarts for the new year, not because of her own decision but she was practically tied down by her parents. The stress of not knowing, of not hearing from others, from not being able to help was eating away at the girl who was use to taking on situations head on; she wasn't eating, sleeping, or leaving the house. Eventually her parents couldn't take her distress any longer and they all packed up and fled the country under the guise of her mother taking on a job in America, but not knowing when they would return to London. Aviana spent the worst parts of the war oblivious to what was happening back in Europe, not being able to really get to know anybody wizarding in the bustle of New York City, she wasn't able to receive constant reports. Her only source was the odd occasion when news from over there would reach muggle news over in the states, and if she searched online for signs.
The reason she went back to London after the war was pure coincidence; they wanted to take a chance. Although she hadn't heard about anything unusual happening for a month or so now, she was still unsure. They were forced to go back to London because of their dwindling money and lost inspiration, her mother couldn't take anymore time out of work and her father's art was suffering. Her parents had also noticed that Aviana had improved very little by being away. The lack of news being heard was a good enough reason to give going back a chance. When they arrived back, they were all intrigued and relieved to hear what had been going down since they'd left. And once arriving back at Hogwarts all her frustrations and fears were thrown out the window. They were easy to let go because she hadn't been in the thick of things, and so her general personality hadn't changed much at all. She was still the same Aviana who would do anything for a dare, and do anything to relieve monotony.
---GENERAL CHARACTER TRAITS---
Personality: Extremely confidant, loud, dramatic and vivacious; she isn’t afraid to get in your face as she especially gets a kick out of rude, underhanded, prejudice people squirming. Highly valuing honesty, she is not afraid to tell the truth whether it hurts a person or not, she’s overly honest and straight forward to friends and strangers alike, which does get her into trouble at times but she believes that the truth is better known rather than kept to oneself because the consequences may be greater in the long run.
She may not always play by the rules but she doesn’t do it to annoy anyone in particular. She does it because she believes that it is the right thing to do in her mind causing her to disregard what is proper at times. People label her as trouble and disrespectful to her elders and authority figures, which is really the last thing she wants to be but she would rather be that than change herself for them. To people who are close to her, they see that she has no intention of hurting anybody by her words and actions.
Although, she may make people uncomfortable or annoyed she isn’t anti-social and does not always deliberately do things to cause a negative reaction. Most of the time she is just trying to help and do what she believes is the right thing. She values the friends she makes and she does have high values and expectations of how a person should act. If a person is rude or disrespectful, especially without any proper reasoning behind it, she will confront and speak up about it. She would prefer them not like her for it rather than them thinking they can get away with it whenever they feel. When you make a friend out of her you can always count on her to have your back. She isn’t afraid to get physical but she does enjoy shouting angrily at people as well; it depends on whatever may come first if they don't both come at the same time.
Due to the way she was raised and influenced by her parents, she walks around as though the world is at her feet holding a great confidence in herself and her abilities despite not being seen as overly academic. Her parents always taught her to be herself, and to not let anybody force her to stop or change the way she was, and to be just confident in herself as long as she believed what she was doing felt right. There are more things in her life that are more important like her music and individuality for example; and she can be possessive of her possessions especially her clothes and guitar. It is rare to see her steer away from her own beliefs and it would take a lot to make her change them. If a person wanted to make something of her attitude she won’t back down from the challenge, but would rather relish the opportunity to kick butt (not so much if it was her butt that was kicked). She will do pretty much anything, planned or spontaneous just for kicks and giggles. She is outrageous and loves to just laugh.
She learnt martial arts and self defence from the age of nine but now only attends classes as a hobby during the summer due to the time restrictions. She also enjoys being able to create; she does a bit of sketching but her main passion lies in her singing and music. She's even done a bit of musical theatre, doing small productions in local theatres. Even though her parents prefer her singing and performing more classical pieces, she enjoys the lyrics and music of her modern day generation. She brings her acoustic guitar to Hogwarts and would have brought her drum kit and electric guitar if she were able to as well.
Likes: clothes and fashion which she is an active endorser; smiles and overly affectionate behaviour; playing musical instruments; keeping active; individuals;
Dislikes: angry people because they're just party poopers; being told she is wrong; rules; studying; broken nails; routine;
Habits: She can't help but look at her herself when passing objects that reflect her appearance. She also subconsciously starts to hum when there is a lull.
Does your character like Quidditch? Not much of a fan.
---ABILITIES---
Strengths: She is skilled in self defence practices and has fast reflexes; as well as having a very nice singing voice which she likes to exercise on a regular basis; she can also play an array of instruments including the guitar and drums because of her musical upbringing. She is able to pick up and learn things quickly...if she tries to; not easily offended, but will get angry; not easily intimidated; easily gets over negative situations; Transfiguration; Defence Against the Dark Arts; her emotions rule her decisions not her brain;
Weaknesses: has trouble obeying rules and authority when she believes that she is right; not seen as overly academic but only because she doesn’t feel it’s the most important thing; will usually jump into situations without thinking them through properly or devising a plan; can let her temper get the better of her; likes revenge a little too much especially when deserved; doesn't know when to give in or give up; Herbology; History of Magic; Care of Magical Creatures [she tried it and dropped it]; her emotions rule her decisions not her brain;
