The following is a summary of events that have taken place in the Wizarding Redefined plot since the death of Lord Voldemort. This is already kinda long, but we've tried to keep it to only the important stuff. If you'd like more information, there's a few footnotes scattered throughout that can give you a few morsels of information, and we've linked to mentioned characters whose profiles can be found on the site.
If you'd like to be involved in Wizarding Redefined's main plot, this is essential reading. Everything else is just extra. Enjoy! And as always, if you have any questions, we're happy to help you out.

After the defeat of Voldemort and his followers at the Battle of Hogwarts, the Death Eaters disbanded as they fled the efforts of the Ministry of Magic, now led by Minister of Magic Kingsley Shacklebolt. The Ministry began to rebuild the nation after the Second Wizarding War and hunted down the survivors of the hated group ruthlessly.[footnote:1]With their primary factor for existence being taken care of by a clean and competent Ministry, both the Order of the Phoenix and Dumbledore’s Army disbanded, usually to find higher positions in Kingsley’s new government.[/footnote] After time, the world began to heal. The Shacklebolt administration began to cleanse the Ministry of Death Eater supporters, spies and informants with startling efficiency. Hogwarts was rebuilt and stood as a testament to the defeat of the Death Eaters.
Eventually, order was restored to wizarding Britain. While the country was in this blissful state, Revan Haine, an 800 year old vampire crept into London, with his loyal follower known as The Desert Fox, or Jakob Rosenbell. The vampire had the sole goal of destroying the centuries of bigotry and racism the Ministry inflicted on ‘part-humans’. He was willing to take whatever means were necessary to ensure victory for his cause, and started to scout his surroundings.
Juliet Lee, a surviving Death Eater, began tracking down and gathering support from her former partners in an attempt to reorganize the Death Eaters. Through chance, Revan managed to place Jakob inside the group as a spy, constantly feeding Revan information.
Nearly two years after the death of Voldemort, Juliet Lee orchestrated an attack on Hogsmeade by luring the-then Headmaster of Hogwarts, Hunter Evans, into the Hogs Head Pub.[footnote:2]After polyjuicing herself, Juliet pretended to be an applicant for a teaching position in the school.[/footnote] Evans was ambushed by the Death Eaters and killed. His body was paraded through the streets of Hogsmeade, and the Death Eaters set fire to the village.
Aurors and Ministry officials arrived on the scene quickly, lead by Department of Magical Law Enforcement (MLE) Head Gordon Flintock. Nearly all Death Eaters were apprehended and Jakob, fearing recognition, burned his face and convinced the other captives to keep his identity a secret. While most Death Eaters were placed in the high-security sectors of Azkaban[footnote:3]Now guarded solely by wizards.[/footnote], Jakob was charged with lesser crimes, leaving him with a less protected cell
Revan and Jakob devised an escape plan. Revan established an alliance with a half-giant Azkaban guard Hugo Stein which enabled him to communicate somewhat with Jakob. Using the guard, and his innate skill with Ancient Runes,[footnote:4]Magic still common in Jakob’s homeland of Turkey[/footnote] Jakob escaped the prison, aided by a large number of Death Eaters who joined him on his breakout.
The Death Eaters were now the largest they had been since the months after Voldemort’s fall. They were, however, without wands, as they were still being kept under lock and key at the ministry. They committed acts of terrorism and murder, in order to steal wands off of dead wizards and witches.
Revan went public as a struggling shopkeeper and a vampire support-group lobbyist. At first he generated little support, but then decided to use information given to him by Jakob to hunt down Death Eaters. He handed each felon to the Ministry for a cash reward and renewed fame. Revan Haine, the vampire who could do what the Ministry of Magic couldn’t. Eventually, the public began to see Revan as Britain's most efficient anti-Death Eater activist since the breakout. Using his new found popularity, Revan strengthened his cause considerably with rallies, press conferences and protest marches.
Gordon Flintock saw Revan’s growing popularity and was uneased, sensing potential disruption of the already fragile Ministry. He hired a trio of vampire hunters to assassinate Revan, a task which they ultimately failed, killing one of Revan’s followers instead. One of the hunters was murdered, another fled and the other captured. After some persuasion, the hunter gave Flintock’s name before being turned into one of Revan’s Blind. Realizing the MLE was hostile towards him, Revan renewed his efforts, attacking the Ministry directly in his speeches, claiming they were “still too incompetent and too scared to do what needed to be done to clear up a mess which had been threatening lives for over twenty years now”.
Today
Revan has become a high-profile political figure and, through Fox, has the Death Eaters eating out of the palm of his hand. Only Gordon Flintlock is aware of the danger Revan poses but is slowly losing power as Revan turns the world against the Ministry.
Kingsley Shacklebolt is preparing for an election in July, doing whatever he can to ensure his continuation as Minister of Magic in these darker times.
The Death Eaters are now in direct opposition to Revan’s cause. There is no questioning that his beliefs contradict theirs, and they are afraid of his ability to snatch Death Eaters up faster than the Ministry can. Revan’s goals are put under further pressure as he is being scrutinised by the Ministry and attacked by the Death Eaters. The Fox has been put in a difficult situation – his position within the Death Eaters is providing Revan with more information but is becoming harder and harder to hold.
Juliet Lee has also fallen pregnant, and is expecting to give birth in September. She doesn’t know just how special her child is, but someone else does...
