Nestled between two large buildings in the heart of Diagon Alley is the antique shop known as Lost Legends. It stands perfectly still, as though caught in a time that never changes while the world around it shifts. The building is like any other of Diagon Alley, grey and unassuming. But through the brown glass, one can see the constantly shifting display of the store, of weapons and maps, books and treasures, all things held by people from long ago. This curiosity is what draws most inside the mysterious building, but others are simply intent to find the now-famous owner.
When the door open, a small, silver bell rings through the building, hauntingly fresh and clear and often makes the person feel as though they are a intruder in a place and time that is not their own, as if they just stumbled into Nirvana. But, once settled into the atmosphere of the building, the potential buyer is free to explore.
Dominating the left-half of the store is a long counter and cabinet, containing various valuable trinkets, amulets and pieces from as early as the Old Kingdom to as late as the Industrial Revolution. Behind the counter, an employee of the store usually waits, smiling, reading or translating some ancient tome. Behind the counter is a small kitchen, where Revan Haine, the owner of the store, often makes coffee, tea or other snacks for his visitors. Most casual visitors are accustomed to sitting down and having tea with the notorious rights activist.
At the end of the counter is a open area that acts as a lounge, sometimes with different themes but usually around the French Enlightenment Period. This is where Employees may discuss prices and artifacts with buyers or associates. The rest of the store is broken into sections which are (from closest to the front door to the furthest): Decoration, Apparel, Weaponry (for historical purposes only), Furniture and Books and Records. Most are carefully preserved in either plastic or glass cases, with a strict respect policy, in which Revan kindly asks all visitors to treat the valuable objects with the utmost consideration. Portraits and paintings can be found on the walls all over the store and objects not on display can be found in the storeroom of the shop. Employee's have huge catalogue's of all items, divided by categories, time period and magical/non-magical traits.
Between two bookcases at the back of the store is a small wooden door that leads to Revan's office. People are rarely permitted entry.
The store is unusual in that it is open twenty-four hours a day, Monday to Friday, as it has a excellent collection of both vampire and human employee's. The store is constantly watched by the Ministry and is well-protected, due to the controversy regarding Revan's position.
