Bane gently moved Nikkita off his lap and stood, only now realizing just how much taller he was. With her seated bane towered over the petite witch. He reached into his trench coat and withdrew a thick leather case, which he sat on the table. He opened it gently and revealed inside three gold necklaces, each bearing a different gem as a centerpiece.
"I can make the final product out of any necklace of the appropriate material requirements to suit your preferences. But these are my test pieces that I use for testing various enchants. The sapphire stone is the weakest of the enchants I have prepared. I suspect it won't be strong enough, but I figured I'd do it just in case. The emerald piece is about the center balance of the degrees and the ruby piece would be the strongest of them. If a stronger version of the enchant is necessary, I'll have to use a diamond as the focal gem in the enchant... such enchants are rare and I'll have to order a diamond piece for testing the necessary strength." Bane stated softly as he withdrew the sapphire gemmed gold chain.

Wren placed her glass down on the coffee table and rose from her seat "The necklaces are all beautiful" she whispered, slightly breathtaken by the sheer height of Bane. Looking up at him, she felt like a small child.
Stepping up to him, her eyes still fixed on him, Wren's voice was soft and quiet "Would you?" she asked, turning her back to him and pulling her hair aside "I'm a bit of a klutz with things like that and I wouldn't want to damage it."

Bane gave a soft smile as he moved forward, "It would be my pleasure."
Saying it would be his pleasure was a gross understatement, he was dying to get closer to her. Bane felt a heat spread through him as he knelt downward to wrap the chain around her neck, inhaling the subtle scent of the witch. He clasped the necklace in to place easily, but dint' withdraw, instead let his hands fall softly onto her shoulders.

Taking in a deep breath, Wren closed her eyes. She didn't complain about where he had placed his hands, but a few breaths later, Wren shuddered softly as she felt his warmth overcome her. Well that one doesn't work she thought, but no sound came from her lips other than her steady breathing. She didn't know what to do. Should she speak up? Should she move? Or should she just stay where she was?
She chose the latter, considering he was also holding her, moving might of been a problem, and she would speak up if she could actually think of anything to say. Her eyes remained closed and her body motionless.

Bane felt the shudder and tried to speak, but he managed nothing more than a whisper as he moved his hands, "My apologies Miss Taylor. I meant no disrespect or to cross the lines."
Bane took a step back, his hands falling to his sides as he looked at the ground... shame in himself and disappointment risign through his body. He should have known better and kept himself under control. What would such a young witch want with someone his age and with his appearance.

Wren's eyes snapped open as the warmth started to receed. Turning slowly to look up at him, she tilted her head slightly without realising, as if to question his recent actions "It's fine, honestly. You crossed no lines..." pulling herself together, she managed to step over to him "...no disrespect was caused and no offense." Causiously, she reached out and tilted his chin up "honestly, it's fine..."
Looking up into his eyes, she became fixated again. Yep, the necklace definately wasn't working. She could still feel the cat's curiosity and his mixture of emotions, and it was starting to give her a headache.

Bane's skin warmed under her touch and he stared into her eyes. He moved his hands from his sides and slowly moved them to her face, cupping her head gently and stroking his thumbs over her cheeks softly. His breathing picked up slightly and he continued to stare into her eyes.
"H-h-h-how's the necklace doing?" Bane stammered out quietly.

Feeling her hand drop to her side, Wren eyes closed softly, "Its-..it's not working" she breathed. Her head was close to exploding as Bane's warmth, the cat's curiosity at the events before her, and her own warmth engulfed her.
The only thought that managed to cross her mind was how soft his hands felt against her heated, scarlett cheeks. She knew she was blushing but she didn't care, and even if she did she doubted she could currently find the strength in herself to try and hide it.

Bane's hands slid slowly down and around to the back of her neck, his fingers stroking a path there. He gingerly unclasping the necklace and withdrew from her quickly, returning the necklace and pulling the emerald one from the container. He moved back to her, returning his attention to her as swiftly as possible.
"Turn around, Wren." He whispered softly as he held the necklace close to her.

Turning at a glacial pace, Wren felt her breathing pick up, her palms were clammy and her head seemed to spin but she kept her eyes closed.
So much for a business meeting she thought light heartedly, before deciding against thinking all together. It caused her head to bang and spin more. Feeling her hands shake slightly, she slowly lifted her clammy hand up to pull her hair to the side once more. Opening her mouth partially to try and steady her breathing, Wren felt a surge of warmth rise through her from the ground.

Bane moved in close behind her and knelt downward. he placed the necklace around her throat slowly and clasped it in place. This time, however, his hands slid to her shoulders and squeezed firmly. His large hands kneaded her shoulders gently as he stood there... intoxicated from being so close to her. Part of him was nervous that she'd turn around and let him have it... kicking him from her place and he'd lose the deal and the opportunity of becoming more acquainted with Wren Taylor.

Feeling him so close behind her, Wren had the urge to let herself fall back and lean against him, but she dug her heels to the floor to make sure she stayed standing; but the small massage he was rewarding her shoulders with felt too good for her not to respond so she allowed her chin to drop to her chest limply, her hair fallen by her face again.
Feeling a slight cool take over her mind, Wren noticed she could no longer feel the curiosity and part of Bane's emotions had wained, but not by much.
Her breathing was still soft and fast and her palms still clammy but the banging and the spinning had calmed slightly.

Bane noticed her head fall forward to give his hands access and he stroked his thumbs firmly along the back of her neck to massage it as well as her shoulders. As he continued the massage her, he leaned forward and blew gently on her ear before whispering, "How about this one? Any better?"

Gasping slightly at the attention he was paying to her, she nodded "Only a little though, it's hardly making any difference, I can't hear the animals though" she whispered.
Absentmindedly, Wren moved her hand up to stroke along the top of Bane's, her cold hands obviously now damp. Sliding her hand off his, she moved it down to play with the necklace. She was completely lost now, she didn't know what to say, what to do with herself, and she had seemingly forgotten how to move the lower half of her body.

Bane let out a soft sigh as her hand stroked his... he was glad to have a positive sign oriented directly from her. He gave a last firm squeeze and slid his hands softly to the clasp and undid it. Without thinking, mainly to keep himself from talking himself out of it, Bane lowered his lips and kissed the back of her neck as he slid the necklace free.
He turned quickly and replaced the necklace, pulling the last one out in it's place. He slid it in place, this one tighter and the gem pressed against the base of her throat almost like a choker. He clasped it in place gently and this time kept his hands on her neck, fignertips stroking the back and base of it gently.
