(( Sorry guys. No peeking ;D This can also include Myrtle herself )) Lucy knew that second glass of pumpkin juice at lunch time was a bad idea. She'd just about gotten through charms class after lunch with an emergency pitstop and really needed to use the ladies room again. The closest place was Myrtles bathroom and when she entered she seen it was flooded as usual. So being careful with her steps she turned off the taps and then entered a stall. The sound of relief was obvious as she flushed the toilet and took a look in the mirror. The film of water on the tiles made the lamp light look brighter than it was as she looked in the cracked mirror. So with a only a few minutes after her last class it looked like this would only be a quick lip gloss touch up prior to a library trip. Thoughts still haunted her of the seemingly unatainable Amaya but she knew she had to get over that. By rights there should be other lesbians like her in the school but where were they? Would she have to wait until she graduated to find somebody like her? Right now this girl who looked like she should have been in Slytherin didn't know. She was a realist trying to make the best of things. If she had to wait then so be it.

"Big one, was it?" Myrtle's voice reverberated cheerfully throughout the bathroom as she passed through a cubicle wall to hover over Lucy's shoulder. She seemed to be in a somewhat good mood, that was until she looked at their reflection in the mirror and noticed that Lucy was rather solid while she was rather not. She sobbed gently for a few moments before realizing that Lucy was looking at her, then set off again, flying madly over Lucy's head.
"OF COURSE IT WAS. TAKE A BIG DUKE IN MYRTLE'S BATHROOM, SHE WONT MIND. IT'S NOT LIKE SHE LIVES THERE OR ANYTHING." she bellowed. "ONLY EVER VISIT IN AN EMERGENCY, MYRTLE IS ONLY SLIGHTLY BETTER THAN PISSING YOURSELF IN FRONT OF EVERYONE."

Holly was passing by on her way to her next class when suddenly Myrtle began bellowing about pissing herself. Holly sighed; what first year had unwittingly offended the sensitive ghost girl now?
She poked her head into the bathroom and caught sight of Lucy Chiang standing at the sink looking embarrassed, with Myrtle hovering nearby bellowing herself hoarse. "Everything okay in here?" she asked, stepping lightly over a puddle as she entered the bathroom.

What happened while you were in a stall doing your business wasn't something you shouted about; Myrtle however didn't seem to care although as Lucy cringed as she could see the ghost reflected in the mirror.
Then help arrived in ther shape of a housemate. "I hope so Holly" Lucy quietly replied and still looked very red round her cheeks. Then she turned on Myrtle saying "Could you please lower your voice Myrtle? Its a toilet and I didn't use your cubical so whats the problem? Was Peeves mean to you again today?"
This sad asian girl could feel a little of what the ghost went through given she'd cried her heart out here just before a relapse that had put her into the hospital wing for two weeks during her repeated first year. She knew all about sorrow and pain first hand and her parents untimely deaths had just been the cherry on top of that unwanted cake.

Myrtle shot down so that she was hovering uncomfortably close to Lucy. If Myrtle were alive, their noses would be touching. "Never come... nobody ever comes to visit old Moaning Myrtle unless they absolutely have to." She straightened her glasses up on her nose and pulled a rotten face. "You can try and be sympathetic but I'm not falling for it!" Her attention shifted to girl who had only just entered the bathroom, and back. "You all hate me!"

"I don't hate you Myrtle. Never have done" Lucy replied just as Myrtle turned her attention to Holly. She'd felt the chill from the ghost as they would have touched nose to nose if Myrtle hadn't been a spirit. At least she'd lowered her voice which was thankful. She still sounded angry or was it Myrtle feeling sorry for herself. The shiver she did after feeling the cold presence that close to her was enough to unfoot her on the slippy tiles and she fell backwards just about stopping her fall with her hands before she cracked her head. That had the unplanned effect of her looking very uncomposed and her skirt sliding up her legs.
Lucy had spent a lot of time crying. Especially in the usual girls bathroom. Not just because of what had happened to her during the year of hell when those memories resurfaced but she had also cried a lot when she thought about her late parents. She'd put on a brave face when others were around but few seen her feeling so low.
She'd also vented her frustrations about boys and she did retreat into herself when she had nowhere else to go.

"Jesus Myrtle, piss off, will you?" Holly said in disgust. She'd never liked the ghost girl - or for that matter, anyone who tried to gain attention by acting like no one liked them. "Did you ever stop to think that maybe the reason no one comes to this bathroom is because you keep flooding it? Who the hell wants to walk through a big puddle of piss every time they need to take a leak?"
She bent down towards Lucy and extended a hand. "You ok? Sounded like you hit your head there."
Poor kid. Seemed like she kept getting the short end of the stick. Holly didn't know the extent of what Lucy'd been through - not really anyone did - but it sure did seem like whenever bad things happened at Hogwarts, Lucy was right in the thick of it. God, it was only the first week back and already she'd managed to piss off Myrtle and possibly give herself a concussion. "D'you think we should get you up to the hospital wing?"

Lucy accepted the hand finding it hard to gain purchase on the slippy and very wet floor. She'd dry out once she was out of here but she wasn't hurt too badly. Just a sore head and perhaps a few bruises later as far as she knew but she was a regular visitor to the hospital wing anyway. Mainly because she was a seeker.
So when she got to her feet and she softly replied "thanks Holly" as she looked back at Myrtle as she supported herself by holding onto the sink. The ghost really was making her own problem as Holly had said. It started with her flooding the bathroom because she felt alone and miserable; but that kept people away because they didn't want to be here while the bathroom was in that state and to face an upset ghost. A problem only Myrtle could put an end too.
"I'll be ok soon enough. I get worse than this at the quidditch pitch" she softly added but she felt her head spinning and fell into Holly's arms. Thankfully she was close enough to catch the troubled 4th year. Support she was so glad to have in her house even with very few people knowing what had really happened to her over the years.
In her first year she'd been through hell and lost her innocence. Only the nurse knew the full shocking story since she was her counsellor. In her repeated first year she'd missed loads of classes by locking herself in her dorm and not coming out. Somedays she simply didn't feel able to face school and some days she could. That was partial relapses into depression more than anything. Full relapses put her into the hospital wing for a couple of weeks at a time and it took counselling to bring her around again.
When she returned for her 2nd year she'd just been orphaned and had a personality change. Others outside her circle of trusted people and her house see the cold angry witch who'd have been a better Slytherin and the boy hater.
Now it was her 4th year; she was making solid progress and getting into some sort of normality again. More like the way she had before she started Hogwarts during the year of hell but she still had a hard time with boys, had anger issues and had been a lesbian since her 2nd year with the frustrations that brought.

"I'm not always flooding it... not even most of the time..." murmured Myrtle defensively.
She hovered in a stunned silence as she watched the exchange between Lucy and Holly. It wasn't clear (erm, no pun intended) whether this was due to wanting Lucy to be okay or wanting some drama. Perhaps she was hoping she might even have a friend to haunt the bathrooms with. When Lucy said she felt okay and collapsed into Holly's arms, Myrtle decided it was time to chime in again.
"I wouldn't let her get too close if I were you," she said, barely concealing her grin. "You wouldn't if you'd heard the things that I'd heard. I don't think she's Seeker for the same team you are, if you know what I mean." Myrtle giggled flippantly.

"Whoa!" Holly exclaimed, nearly slipping herself as Lucy fell forwards into her arms. She steadied herself slightly, holding up the tiny fourth year, and attempted to get a look in her eyes to see if her pupils were different sizes - one of the first signs of a concussion. Lucy's eyes were so dark, however, that Holly couldn't tell.
"Look, I really think we should get you up to the hospital wing," she said firmly. "Clearly you're not alright if you're collapsing all over the place."
"I don't think she's Seeker for the same team you are, if you know what I mean."
Holly flushed slightly at Myrtle's insinuation. She knew, of course, that Lucy liked girls - but surely Lucy wasn't faking this in order to get close to Holly. "Myrtle, piss off!" She shouted. "C'mon, Lucy - let's get out of here. I'm sure Professor McGonagall will understand why I'm late." She released Lucy, continuing to hold on to her upper arm in case she decided to pass out again, and together they exited the bathroom.

(( new threads best ))
Lucy knew just what Myrtle was on about. She was an oddity here but not so in the muggle world where she lived. With her head spinning and her history of banged heads and head injuries it was better to be safe than sorry. So she picked up her bag and left with her house mate.
