Lucy had made it to the hospital wing but she had to hold onto Holly and stop when her sore head spun. Her vision was going out of focus too. She looked a sight for the nurse with her outer robe wet and this still tiny witch needed all the help she could get. Thankfully she was still light for her size given she was a serious athlete so she wouldn't be a burden for her house mate.
It hurts Holly she murmured as her vision went out of focus again and she reached for the closest bed. She managed to roll herself half on the first attempt and then pride kicked in. She had been humilated by Myrtle, then felt so weak and helpless after her bang on the head she'd have passed out in the corridor or the bathroom if Holly hadn't been there. Now she couldn't even get herself onto the bed. Digging deep she pushed her arms into the mattress to gain purchase and finally rolled fully onto the bed.

Clearly Lucy had hit her head harder than either of them had suspected. By the time they reached the hospital wing, Holly was practically carrying Lucy - luckily she was so tiny, she weighed next to nothing.
"It hurts, Holly."
"I know, just try to relax," Holly soothed, helping Lucy up onto the bed when it appeared that Lucy was having difficulty getting up by herself. "I'll get the nurse."
Holly glanced around the hospital wing; it appeared to be deserted. "Erm...ok, just, try to stay awake Lucy, ok? Sit up or something." Holly had limited first aid knowledge but she did know that anyone with head trauma was supposed to keep conscious as long as possible. "Maybe she's in her office..."

I'll try Holly Lucy murmured as her head spun again. Then she dragged herself up the bed a bit at a time until she was half sitting up and resting on the headboard. Even now she looked out of it as she tried to keep her eyes open.
She knew the nurse was never far away from here given she was a regular visitor and knew Nurse Johnson very well. Now all she had to do was stay awake and wait for help to arrive.

Emily was in her office filling out a mail-order form for medical supplies when Lucy and Holly came to the hospital wing. At first Emily didn't notice them come in, but after a minute or so she thought she could hear someone talking outside the door.
"Lucy" she exclaimed as she came out of her office to see the tiny Hufflepuff lying down. She knew Lucy well as she was a regular visitor to the hospital wing what with sports injuries and her emotional trauma. She didn't, however, know the other girl. "Hello" she smiled at her kindly as she hurried over to the pair. "What happened?" she asked.

Emily might notice the darker patch in Lucy's black hair from where she'd banged her head hard. While she wasn't in much danger she wasn't exactly up to doing much either as her eyes closed over for a few seconds. She knew she needed to stay awake but she couldn't hold on anymore.
Somehow she willed herself through the pain barrier to open her eyes again and then she slipped into a full lying down position on her side. Now the bloodied patch of hair at the back of her head could be clearly seen. She gave Emily a hopeful look as if to say 'please help me again'. Sometimes she felt she single handedly kept the hospital wing in business between depression attacks, counseling sessions, being hit by bludgers and lifes little accidents.

"She slipped and fell in Myrtle's bathroom," Holly explained. "Hit her head on the floor. Why doesn't anyone do anything about Myrtle? All she does is flood the bathroom and antagonize people, it's dangerous! Just look at Lucy, this could have been avoided entirely altogether!"
It wasn't really Holly's place to start criticizing the way Hogwarts was run, but she was upset. Lucy was bleeding everywhere and clearly had a concussion of some sort - yet surely no one would do anything about Myrtle. Hell, Holly would be surprised if if anyone even talked to Myrtle. It seemed incredibly unfair.

'She slipped and fell in Myrtle's bathroom.'
Emily nodded and began examining Lucy. Her head was bleeding quite heavily, but other that that she appeared fine. "Apart from your head Lucy, did you hurt anything else?" she asked.
'Why doesn't anyone do anything about Myrtle? All she does is flood the bathroom and antagonize people, it's dangerous! Just look at Lucy, this could have been avoided entirely altogether!'
The other girl appeared agitated. "It's okay, Lucy's going to be fine" she reassured her. "There's no need to get stressed about it, I'll fix Lucy up and then I'll see if something can be done about Myrtle" she promised. "In the meantime, you can sit down on that bed" she said indicating the bed next to Lucy's.
With that she turned back to Lucy, and with a couple of complicated flicks of her wand the cut on Lucy's head began to heal. "Lucy?" she asked. "Can you see?" She was cleary concust and would need to stay the night in the hospital wing but Emily needed to check how badly ingured she was and how much blood she'd lost in case she needed a blood replenishing potion.
"Did she lose much blood?" she asked, turning back to Holly.

"I don't think so," Holly replied, hopping up to sit on the bed that Nurse Johnson had indicated. "I didn't even noticed any bleeding until we got here and she laid her head on the pillow."
She swung her legs back and forth absentmindedly as she watched Nurse Johnson do her work, still a little angry inside about Myrtle. What was wrong with her, anyway?

Lucy was able to answer the question as the nurse was fixing up the cut on the back of her head. I can see but its hazy she quietly replied. She also heard Holly being reassured as she felt herself drift off again. While not thinking clearly at this point of time later on she could ponder the Myrtle question and the problems she made for herself. The problems must have started somewhere.
She moved to give Holly a smile to show she was getting better but she'd be sleeping very soon.
