Jaden paced back and forth over the rug in her London apartment in excitement. Having been away from home with quidditch and Lizzie in auror training the past couple of year it was a rare occasion where they could sit down for a drink. Today was one of those occasions. She had taken special care to look good tonight though she wasn't sure why. What was she trying to prove? That she'd gotten even better looking? That she hadn't changed at all? It truly didn't make one bit of sense but she took the idea and ran with it.

After glancing once more at her clock she closed her eyes and felt herself get sucked into the dark vortex that came with apparation. When she felt herself breathe again, she opened her eyes and nodded with relief at the Three Broomsticks sign above her. She pushed open the door hoping she wasn't late and glanced around the pub for her friend before taking an empty barstool and ordering a fire whiskey. She peered over her shoulder toward the door every few seconds rubbing her hands up and down her knees in impatience, the denim burning her skin where she rubbed too hard.

It was going to be the first time in several months that Lizzie had the time to go and see Jaden, her best friend and the one person who she knew she could talk to about anything on her mind. She knew she was lucky to have found such a great friend all those years ago but it still made her think at times what her life might have been like had she never met her. Shaking her head she opened the door to the Three Broom Sticks hearing the bells rings as she did. It was then a large, bright smile graced her lips as she saw her dear friend.
Walking over to her she said, “Jay! It has been far too long, we really need to meet up more often. You look fabulous as always.”She quickly ordered herself a butter beer. Then sat beside her friend and laughed a little when she said, “I never thought we would actually need to catch up on so much. I mean owls are great but we can never really express everything we truly want to say in one. How has training been, I hear you have been doing well according to all the reporters.”

Jaden spun around at the sound of Lizzie's voice, "Liz! It has been soo long!" Then Lizzie started asking her about quidditch. Jaden cringed and reached for the mug of fire whiskey offered to her from the bartender, "About quidditch, I had to quit. Apparently that part wasn't in the news?" Jaden held up her right arm and hoped Lizzie would get why with out asking. Lizzie would probably remember when Jaden was hit by a car when she was little and broke her wrist. She stayed at her house to recover after all.

"How has auror training been?" She quickly changed the subject, "I dropped out too early to know how hard it must be." Jaden giggled trying to hide the fact that she really just wanted to hear about Harley. Even now she was hopeless. She took a sip from her glass not wanting to drink too much when she was trying to actually have a meaningful conversation with someone.
