Start something new?

Due to this site being dead, I was wondering if anyone would be interested in starting a new Harry Potter site with me. We could tryto have it run something very similar to this: clean and organized.

Would anyone be up for the challange?

I am not saying we continue this one, because this site belongs to Revan and James. However, I would like to very much to try and move members from this site over to the one we made, due to this one being dead (claims to be anyway).

Helen, if you can be persuaded to do so, that would be great. You are a very talented graphic designer and I would kill to have someone like you work with me to build this site. However, let us see who else responds to this thread (I do not know any of the staff member's email addresses). If no one does in a week, we can talk then.

I've just been talking to James these last couple of days but let me tell you right now, TWOM does not belong to either one of us. He's ready to put the series to bed but I'm not so keen.

(Okay, that felt awesome, but seriously, I doubt James will come back. So I'm beginning to believe the time's come to hand over the torch. I still have to convince James but I really don't think we have the right to end this)

To clarify, because I believe Revan's post is misleading:

I feel ready to put the site to bed, personally. Obviously, it can't last forever, and I don't feel there would ever be a time where every member would ever be happy to see it go. This would be the third time in less than that many years that it has been "revived" (once when this site was made from TWOM, again when we did the plot jump).

THAT SAID, I of course still love WR and I think it goes without saying that in a perfect world I'd still happily be participating and even running things today full-time.

And if it WERE to be "revived"... well, I'm too invested now, aren't I? I'm here.

I never claimed that I had the right to control over this community. It wasn't even mine to begin with. This site is another thing... but I'm quite open to handing over the torch. It's just that there are a lot of things that I think maybe not everyone is fully considering at the moment.

There is no doubt that this is a great site, and it wouldn't be so if it were not for its staff. This is the only site that i have seen that hasn't been changed into some teen looking drama (Which I wasn't too fond of with Jade's continuation a couple of months ago).

I just wished that the staff members gave me a chance to help out and make it one of the most popular sites around. I have been doing advertising for years, and actually took a web advertising class for three semesters in high school.

I felt that is what killed our site: The lack of members decreases everyone's modivation on continuing he site. So, if this site were to continue (not getting ahead of myself of course ) we would have to have a solid source of advertising.

Since I don't want some to believe I'm ignoring this thread, I feel the need to respond and inform. Juliet - and anyone else who bothers to read this thread - we, being the staff, have been discussing the site and its future. Nothing has been settled on for sure, so I won't give any details of the discussion, but know that things are being mulled over and our options are being considered.

I know I haven't been around much lately and I went totally AWOL on skype but I'm still here and if the sites going to be revived then I'll defo help out! I'll try get back on skype but no-one's ever online when I am...grr!
