Hi everyone. It’s nice to talk to you again.
Around August last year, Revan and I pretty much set WR to bed. Our reasons I think have been said in many more words before here, but what it boils down to is that it’s just been too difficult for us to effectively maintain WR without having a real impact on our schooling and the rest of our lives. It broke our hearts to do so, but it was really the only responsible decision we could make as we get to the end of high-school.
Since then, though, there has been quite a movement through parts of the member base to bring the site back to life. Revan and I don’t have the time to run the site again ourselves, at least not until very late this year, but we don’t believe that everyone and anyone who once loved WR should be robbed of the option to continue the fantastic stuff we’ve done here in the past.
In that spirit, we’ve decided to appoint Jaden Aerins, Helen Magnus and Melissa as WR’s new three main admins. Jaden is the admin you've known and loved (I hope
) from the start, Helen and Melissa are both long-time TWOM members. Melissa will be creating an account similar to the one that I've always had - specifically for being an admin - in order to distance her admin self from her RP self and keep some of her characters secret. 
She's only just come back from her crazy ass Vegas holiday (think The Hangover meets Space Buddies), so this account will be promoted tomorrow.
Unlike the admin role in the past, between them, these three will be running WR and be in charge of the site for all intents and purposes. A few fundamental exceptions aside, WR’s Admins will be making decisions about the site together (including coding&layout, advertising, rule changes, management of things like Hogwarts, and hiring/firing of moderators, pretty much anything you could think of) and will be responsible for ensuring everything else on the site is managed properly.
Revan and I will remain onboard as Overseers: handling any disagreements between the admin team, managing any changes of admins, and offering our advice/knowledge of the site. If anyone has a problem with one of the admin team, you’re certainly welcome to see me about it, but I want to be clear that some things will of course be run differently, not in the way that you’d expect Revan and I to do it.
My understanding is also that Laura will resume her great work as a Global Moderator and , and that no other staff changes will be made for the time being.
Archiving will be up to the Admins as to whether they think it will be appropriate or not. As per our usual policy, nothing will be deleted and no links will be broken.
Plot-wise, we will not be doing a time-jump this time. The plot will pick up exactly where it left off in May 2011. Revan is trying to increase his political influence, Juliet is pregnant and expecting in September, power struggles continue amongst the Death Eaters, the Ministry has been under fire for its handling of the Death Eaters and Minister Shacklebolt has called for an election in July. Goldeye has prophesized that Juliet’s baby is of profound importance , but as of this point in time has only shared this secret with Gordon Flintock.
The task ahead of our new admins is monumental, but I believe that they can do it, and they need your support too. The admins want to make some changes, naturally, so things will be a bit rocky for awhile, but then after that we really need to focus on the promotion bandwagon, which Juliet identified as our great weakness and I couldn’t agree more. Thankfully we can get back in contact with our old friends easily enough through the newsletter system, and we have a talented group of writers and graphic artists who can help promote us around the internet.
