12th September
I've made some more friends. One a new Hufflepuff named Katrine Treft whose very into owls, the school uniform and books. The other is totally unexpected.
Its Amaya Kohana, the Slytherin I tried to hex in Herbology last year and ended up taking out a bouncing bulb instead. We talked in Charms prior to the class starting and she seemed different just as I am now.
We talked about clothes and I seen what she did over the summer as a model for her mothers fashion label. She's a muggleborn who spent most of the year of hell in Azkaban abd I think I'm one of the few people who know this.
We're very close now and she even got me a present. A complete MJ outfit in yellow and black but what can I give her in return?
All I seem to have to offer is love and given my feelings for girls I feel very drawn to her. I also feel safe and secure round her as well.
Thats as well as other feelings I'm only starting to understand. During the summer I rejected boys completely in a romantic sense. I can't see myself having a boyfriend after what I went through.
Yet is it love I have for Amaya? It could be and I feel we're getting closer to each other. I don't know if I can confess these feelings to her but I feel warm and fuzzy when she's around. To be honest its like something out of a manga.
I'm into unchartered territory and don't know how to act on it. I need help and advice.

17th September
Theres always something going on in Hogwarts and new people to see. I have to say although that the boys are finally getting the hint. Except for James who knows I feel relaxed around him and Heath.
He's the Hufflepuff prefect and he was cool enough to give me a chance to avoid being caught breaking curfew. He said it would be bad if he reached the castle door before I did so I showed him how fast a former winger could run. Nothing else was said although.
I feel like I'm getting closer to Katrine and I'm thinking of showing her some of the castle secrets. Assuming she's prepared to risk a little rule bending. Nothing major but if she wants to see a house elf she'll have to take a chance.
I've also ran into an older Gryffindor witch anmed Avianna. She looks like she's close to graduation but still gets on like she's a first year. I bet life is interesting in Gryffindor tower but thats something I can check with Michael.

22nd September
My aunt sent me a food parcel today which really helped cheer me up. Theres several bars of Cadbury's chocolate and six pumpkin pasties. I'll share these out with Amaya and Katrine as well.
It looks like there'll be no organised quidditch for a while but I'll still keep training regardless. Its one of the few things that bring joy to life. Katrine and Amaya are the others.
There was also some more manga at the bottom of the box. Knowing my Aunt Michael got something similar.

December. Cold, wet and winter is here in its glory including two feet deep snow in places. It seems to start earlier at Hogwarts than anywhere else.
Life continues as normal. I've gotten closer to Katrine but seemingly further away from Amaya. As for Olive if she wants to continue her self-destructive slide into oblivion I'm not going to stop her. Its her life after all.
Regarding my own feelings theres nobody new on the horizon in a romantic sense. Theres Tristan and James but being boys the closest they'll get is being friends. Katrine is probally the only one that realises just how much I hate boys and has seen in action how I deal with Finch.
My aunts parcel as usual contained more shoujo manga as well as chocolate and treats. I now own the full Kashimashi series as well as being up to date with Chevalier D'Eon. The fact the former is about a girls love triangle means it was more helpful than she realised. Love is complicated and a manga only shows it clearly.
Katrine and myself also have to deal with the book Torlen lent us. While interesting I feel I can't wait as long as he suggested. By the time we graduate I doubt anything would have changed for the better.

Work continues on the book as we read and go through the ideas together. If somebody could chronicle these events did they have the will to try and change this state of affairs? Did they fail and hope somebody else could pick up the torch? I don't know.
I'm also trying to teach Katrine basic quaffle handling. Usually the first step to playing quidditch and once we got of the ground she coped quite well for a first session

29th April 2011
Today we have a chance to get into Hogsmeade and have galleons in my handbag. A major stocking up on sweets is my first stop and then I'll see where else I need to go apart from buying more ink.
Its also hard to believe just how much has happened in two years. The death of our old headmaster Professor Evans followed by the burning down of Hogsmeade by Death Eaters which claimed four more lives. Although mercifully captured on the scene the Death Eaters managed yet another mass breakout from Azkaban.
Despite the reassuring press from the WWN and the Prophet I really find it hard to believe the claim that the Ministry is able to deal with the Death Eaters. Its the same Ministry that told us that Sirius Black was an escaped follower of Voldemort and extremely dangerous, hailed Harry Potter as public enemy number one during my first year and still tightly controls what is broadcast and published.
Given the bad press Revan Haine and his political movement gets coupled with what I already know he simply can't be as bad as he's painted. The questions these days are as follows;
* Could we fall under another dark time again if the unthinkable happens and the Death Eaters win again? * Can Revan Haine bring equality to our world * and can Kingsley Shacklebolt, a hero of the Order of the Phoenix and a man Michael has always spoken well off be re-elected
I really do fear our world will be plunged into darkness once again because we'll never hear the truth from the ministry if the war is going badly. The first we'll know if they fall is when the Prophet tells us.
This time I can fight and my brother can resume his battles if needed. So if the worst does happen and we face another hellish period I will be ready.

15th May 2011
My aunt owled me more sporty clothes since the warmer weather is certainly coming in. Its even reaching as far as Hogwarts and I was certainly in need of more running gear. My shoes are fine but the navy blue vest and shorts allows for a whole new look.
She also sent me some magazines which helps me catch up on what I've missed in the muggle world. Is it just me or do you have to be a looker to become a female athlete in any sport? Perhaps I'm imagining this but there seems to be a uniformity in both worlds. There isn't a hair out of place and they make their sports wear look good. Pictures which appeal to a girl like myself and fuel dreams of better times.
Given the reactions of the guys who have seen these magazines it dosen't seem to matter if you're a wizard or not. They still think with another part of their anatomy even now. Perhaps why they read BBB. Most likely so they can look at the babes on brooms.
