((I know these are long, but thats what the headings are for. You can skim through the bold headings and read up on parts you dont understand or come back to it later. There arent many rules, I've just given explanations for them.
If an example is in green, it is okay. If an example is in red, it is not okay. ))

Da Rules
General
- Some swearing is allowed.
Keep bad language to a minimum. In-character, some more cursing is allowed for a sense of realism in certain situations, but try to hold back from going nuts. It's not the language you use, its how you use it. Swearing AT another person to insult them will not be tolerated.
(eg.- Shit, I just kicked my toe.
- You're a shithead!
- SHIT! This is total shit, man, shit! SHIT!
- Shit, I just kicked my toe.
[/li][li]Type Sensibly. English is a wonderful language, try it sometime.
Refrain from typing LIKE THIS, LiKe ThIS or in '1337'. Its annoying and difficult to read and typing in capitals can be considered shouting and rude.
[/li][li]Do not post anything containing nudity, pornography, adultery or anything illegal.
Doing so, in most cases, will result in permanent banning from the site. This INCLUDES avatars. Having characters date is fine.
[/li][li]No Flaming
Please try not to flame others. Flaming is insulting other people and putting them down. Having fun is alright, but make sure it also doesnt get out of hand. Keep fights to PMs.
(eg.
- Lol, that was dumb.
- You're a complete idiot. I hate you.
[/li][li]No Spamming
No spamming. This includes advertising in innappropriate places, posting random junk, typing short useless messages, etc...
[/li][li]No Double Posting Without a Very Good Reason
This is a form of spam. Double posting is when you put one part of your post in one post and the second part in another. Thats what the MODIFY button is for.
[/li][li]Don't try and break the RP Skill system!
Yes, there are exploits and ways to get into the RP Skill system and for regular members to exalt/smite other people. However, it is something we take seriously and keep a close eye on, so dont try it.

Roleplay
- You MUST create a Character Profile before posting in-character!
You have to have a profile before you start or we wont know you exist. No exceptions. It would also be appreciated (but not required) if you could provide a link to your profile in your signature. Make sure you abide by all of the extra rules when creating a character. - Literacy is your Friend
Please try to make your posts as descriptive as possible. Most posts as a general rule should be at least three lines/sentences. If your posts are constantly below this level, you will be warned.
I also expect basic punctuation at least. Capital letters, speech marks, and most importantly full stops so that it reads smoothly. Typos happen too, you dont need to fret over every post, I understand. - Violence is Okay! Sorta...
With duels and stuff, some violence is expected. If a thread gets too violent (I mean like, body parts being gouged out etc, blood and stuff is okay.) then a notice will be put at the start of the thread by an admin. If you think a thread is excessively violent, you may also put this notice up by Modifying your first post, but please do not remove the notice if an admin has put it there. This is not a sign of getting in trouble, it just acts as a warning to anyone that is reading the thread and does not want to read that.
If you have any concerns feel free to PM me. - One Character Per Account
You are allowed as many characters as you want, but please create a seperate account for each. This allows everything to flow smoothly and clearly. - No Powerplaying and Godmoding
You arent allowed to powerplay or godmode.
Powerplaying is when you control another player's characters, or do something you normally wouldnt be able to control. You cant describe the outcomes of your action on another player. For example, in a duel, you cant control whether your spell hits or not.
Godmoding is when a player is too powerful, and stronger than it should be. Dodging or simply surviving too many attacks would be an example. Godmoding is also when a players character is perfect (or almost perfect) in absolutely every way.

Please do not copy these rules (or any other key information from this site). If I find out, I will report it to Proboards Support.
In general, you shouldnt go nuts fearing you'll break the rules. Its not that hard, most people get it quite quickly, and you'll probably only get a warning to begin with. Try to have fun, more than worrying about stuff like that. I want the site to be for fun, these rules are just here cause I need to enforce them every now and then so it all runs smoothly. Damn spammers.
If you have any queries, just ask.
Like I said, have fun!
