What is The World of Magic: Wizarding Redefined?
Wizarding Redefined is a Harry Potter Roleplay site, set not too long after the death of Voldemort.
What's a roleplay?
A role-playing game is a game in which the participants assume the roles of characters and collaboratively create stories.
You create a character, set them in the Harry Potter world, and interact with others doing the same, based on your location, setting, and your character's persona. Within certain rules, you are free to improvise - YOUR choices shape the direction and outcome of your character, and can affect others in a similar fashion.
If you're completely new to the concept, have a look at some of the sections under "Roleplay Locations" and read some of our other member's roleplaying.
What's Harry Potter?
...You're kidding, right?
What sets Wizarding Redefined aside from similar sites, and why should I join?
A question like this calls for a list!
What should I expect from the other members?
At Wizarding Redefined we expect a fairly decent literary standard. This means several sentences per post (the vast majority of the time, anyway). Quality creative writing (rather than twenty paragraphs worth of an overboard monologue) is what we value here. There is also a large focus on making the stories interesting, not just each individual post and description.
What else should I know before joining?
Well, make sure you read the rules, and brush up on Moderator Control, our NPC-system in place to keep things running smoothly.
So, How do I get started?
Create an account at this page. You'll need to login and verify your e-mail address. If you're having trouble, click here.
Once you've done that, you'll need to create a character and post it up to the New Characters board. Then, once a moderator has approved it, you can begin roleplaying.

- Our staff are dedicated, experienced (roleplaying and working on both the member and staff side of the equation for years), and approachable.
- Unlike a lot of other sites, we have direction, yet know our limitations.
- Much of our member base have been with us for a very long time, and you will find there is a strong community here.
- A unique plot, revolving around the struggling Death Eaters in a complicated post-Voldemort world, and an ancient vampiric enemy, bent on taking wizardkind's power away from them. (It seems the freedom-fighting vampire idea has since been borrowed by a few other sites, which is both flattering and insulting, but it started here).
- It's easy to get involved - we are small enough that there are always positions that can be filled, including those as Aurors, or teaching at Hogwarts.
