[Suki Samini]

Rolling her sleeve back down to cover the scar, Suki chuckled at his reaction. She'd seen it many times before and always found it entertaining. "Yeah. I've worked with animals most of my life, dragons only in the past four or five years though." she explained. Taking a small spoonful of the sundae, she smiled slightly at the sweet before she continued to talk. "I'm hoping to do some research on the birds living in the forbidden forest. I'm sure theres several undiscovered species there and quite a few species that aren't supposed to live in that area. I hope to research the creatures in the lake and maybe talk to the centaurs eventually." It would take a very long time to finish all that she hoped to do, but she was patient.

[Killian MacAdams]

"Quite ambitious of you," Killian remarked, taking another bite of sundae. "It's not often you see someone as young as you with her whole life planned out." he leaned back in his chair with a sigh. "But then, I've found life doesn't always work out the way you expect it to. I mean hell, I'd planned to be an Auror. Then Uncle Florean died...or at least, we assume he's dead...and I was left running an ice cream parlour." Killian scratched his nose and frowned. He sounded like such a jackass. "Not that I'm complaining, mind you. Just saying you never know where your future will take you. It's good to have a plan."

[Sky Cantorel]

Sky rolled her eyes as she dug into her sundae. There went Killian again, acting like he was fifty instead of twenty-three. "It's not like your life's over, Kil," she said. "I mean, you could just sell the shop and go back to school. Anyway, I'm sure Suki doesn't want to hear you whine about how you had to give up your "dream" for this place." She smiled as she talked though, so both of them would know she was just ragging on Kil. Well, Kil would probably get it - Sky wasn't sure she'd known Suki long enough for Suki to get when Sky was being sarcastic.

[Suki Samini]

Chuckling, Suki shook her head. "Trust me, I know how destiny has a way of turning things on their end, but dreams are important aspects of life. Beside, I don't think too many things will mess with Hogwarts anytime soon. The place is practically the safest spot in the world." Changing the subject so as to not jinx herself, she looked curiously to Killian. "I can imagine that running an ice cream parlor wasn't your first choice, but it doesn't seem like to bad of a job to me. I mean there are worse out there."

[Sky Cantorel]

"That's what I keep telling him," Sky laughed. "You could work for - I dunno, Magical Maintenance or something. How much fun would that be?" She scraped the last of her sundae from the bottom of the dish and stuffed it in her mouth with relish. "Mmm. Kil, I don't know how you don't weigh seven hundred pounds, working in here. God, this is amazing."

[Killian MacAdams]

"Discipline, Sky...discipline. Something you should look into if you ever plan on passing your Auror exams." Killian teased before turning back to Suki. "Yeah, there's definitely worse jobs out there than running an ice cream shop. I'm just whining mostly though...I love it here. And even if I didn't, Uncle Florean did so much for me and Sky; there's no way I'd even consider doing anything other than keep this shop open, if for no other reason than to honor his memory. Besides," he laughed, "I'd make a rotten Auror anyway. Just ask Sky how bad I am at defensive spells."

[Suki Samini]

"I'll take your word on that." Suki chuckled, continuing to eat her sundae. Glancing outside as it began to drizzle again, she rolled her eyes. "I wonder when somebody will just start casting a shield spell so we don't have to shop in this." she mumbled. She would never miss the weather here.

[Sky Cantorel]

Sky followed Suki's gaze and frowned as she saw the rain spattering the recently dried sidewalk. "And I just managed to get my umbrella closed," she muttered, tucking her hair behind her ears. "So Suki, I never asked - what are you doing in Diagon Alley today? Anything exciting?"

[Suki Samini]

"Not really." Suki smiled, eyes turning back to Sky. "I just had an urge to visit my old boss in some free time." Of course the man hadn't really shown too much emotion to seeing her again, but she didn't really mind. That was how he'd always been. "What about you? Did you just come to visit Killian?" she smirked, motioning toward the man. She hoped she wasn't being rude to him.

"Not entirely," Sky admitted. "I mean - whenever I come to Diagon Alley I try to come in to see Kil, but I actually needed some new robes." She smiled ruefully. "My last pair got ripped right through in a practice duel last week, so I was in Madam Malkin's getting measured for some new ones." Sky pushed back her sleeve to glance at her watch. "She said they'd be ready for me to pick up about twenty minutes from now, so I'm going to have to run shortly."

[Killian MacAdams]

"Glad to hear I'm so high on your list of priorities," Killian teased. "So you're leaving already? First you use me to get free ice cream, and then you foist Suki on me while you run off to buy robes. What is this, some misguided attempt to set me up on a date?" He polished off the last bite of his sundae with a small laugh. He knew Sky hadn't had any sort of plans regarding him and Suki, but it was fun to bug her; she always got so flustered when anyone brought up dating of any kind.

"What? No!" Sky insisted, turning red. Oh God, what must Suki think of her now? Sky was just trying to be friendly and now Kil was making her look like some creepy stalker who just wanted to find her brother a date. Sure, Sky bugged Kil about not having a girlfriend all the time - but she wasn't about to go try setting him up with people she barely knew! "Don't listen to him, he's an ass." She said to Suki, glaring at her brother. "I am most definitely not trying to set you up with him. I wouldn't try to set anyone up with him, he'd drive you insane in five minutes!"

Killian chuckled to himself, caught Suki's eye, and winked. Sky looked ready to blow a gasket; surely she must know he was just messing with her? He hadn't intended on flirting with Suki, but it was always fun bugging Sky. "Speaking of dates, when are you planning on getting a boyfriend, Sky?" he asked innocently.

Mildly thrown off by the new topic, Suki flushed lightly. She knew Killian was playing around, but she still felt a little awkward. Even if she was becoming more social than when she was younger, she was still a little shaky with the whole subject of relationships. Padril was still the only guy she'd ever dated so she pretty much saw herself as being single forever.

Busying herself with her remaining sundae, she let the siblings try to best each other without an intervention from her. What would she say anyway? What could she say to this? Letting her mind get a little wrapped in the question, her bright blue eyes watched the two in interest.

"That's - you - shut up!" Sky blustered, her face turning red again. She took a deep breath and tried to calm down; she knew Kil was just bugging her, and that the more upset she got, the more he would continue to bug her. "This has absolutely nothing to do with me having or not having a boyfriend," she said after a moment, forcing her voice to stay calm. "You started this whole thing about dating anyway!"

She glanced back down at the thin gold watch on her wrist and sighed. "I've got to run. I'll see you later, Kil." She stood, shaking her long hair down her back as she shrugged back into her coat and began fumbling with her umbrella before giving Killian a hug. "Don't do anything stupid." Sky then turned to Suki. "Did you want to come with me...?" she asked uncertainly; she hadn't been planning on spending the whole day with her old classmate, but if she buggered off and left Suki here with Killian, then Suki would most definitely think that Sky had just been trying to set them up.
