((Well, I imagine there were still more miscellaneous Death Eaters around, but alright.))
Jakob took a sharp intake of breath. "No..." He paced the room a little. "Just wondering what exactly it is you're planning. No offense, Madame, but you seem a little on edge, and I think I recognize scheming when I see it. And I think Dale, despite his many thanks, may recognize it too."

Juliet rested her hands on the wooden ledge by the window. "You think?" she said, coldly.
She looked down from the window and back up. she was feeling sick, very sick. Between now and the past few mornings, she has felt this way, and it wasn't until a few days ago that she finally figured it out.
"Jakob.. I... I am pregnant..." she said, feeling comfortable enough to tell the man. The witch felt like she needed to get this out to someone she felt close to, and Jakob seemed to be right behind her. She felt tears about to roll down her eyes. The father? He was not seen for quite some time. The little love left from this man began to pour down once more from both her words and eyes.
"I know... it's a big blow to our cause, and soon the others will find out... I feel like I must take a step down from my power..." she said.

"Juliet..." Jakob murmured, stunned momentarily.
Three years ago Jakob might have felt some sort of pity for the woman standing before him. There she was, pouring her heart out, and crying in shame to a man whom she apparently cared for and trusted, while Jakob himself was silently plotting in his mind how best to use this knowledge in his own interest. He was the greatest traitor of them all.
But now, after nearly three years in her service, Jakob could only feel disgust. After everything he had seen the Death Eaters do and that he had been forced to do for them himself, Jakob could not give her whatever human empathy he was still capable of. He reminded her a little of his own mother, but that only infuriated him more, when he remembered that her own death and suffering was brought about by a blood purist similar to Juliet.
How dare she cry for herself, for her own soul. Full of self-pity and sorrow because she failed to keep her clothes on. No tears were shed before, not for the many that she had ordered to be killed, or that she killed herself. And for what? Power? A slightly better wand? Revenge against the righteous? She was fortunate to have the freedom to bear children, fortunate that her misdeeds had not caught up with her just yet, fortunate that Jakob himself had not already killed her.
"Mademoiselle..." Jakob corrected himself. He had turned around, so that now their backs were facing each other. Though Jakob did not expect her to use Legilimency, and it would be weaker given her emotional state, Jakob knew his guard was down so he avoided eye contact for a few seconds so he could clear his mind. It would appear to be a stunned silence of sorts... Jakob wanted to appear somewhat sympathetic anyway.
"I'm sorry. I don't quite know what to make of this, or why you are telling this to me?" He turned back to her, and moved over to the window so as to appear supportive. He did not dare touch her or hug her, she was still his leader after all.

Juliet felt sick. Why did she tell Jakob? Why did he must know that she was pregnant? It was like as if there was another voice inside her controlling her, manipulating her, into something she refused to say. A voice so bold, that sometimes Juliet felt that she could hear him right in her ears.
"I.. I do not know.." she said. "However, I feel that this is not some ordinary baby. I have watched my friends in St. Mungos while pregnant and they didn't seem no where as sick as I am. I am constantly vomiting, and constantly... angry all the time. I do not know why, and to be honest, it scares me greatly..."

"Well..." Jakob began. "Something may be wrong with you or the baby. If that's the case... in any case, you need medical attention. Luckily we have a Healer within our ranks..." Jakob remained standing there awkwardly beside her. He needed to leave to talk to Revan. Their course needed to be altered in light of the night's developments. His instinct told him he shouldn't just leave Juliet but he had no idea what to do with her.
"Are you okay? If you don't want to tell Adrian I think I can make arrangements for someone else." In one corner of his mind Jakob was already planning the kidnapping of a Healer; that could be fun.

"I don't think that would be necessary." she said. "We can never trust just some ordinary healer. I am not too familiar with the medical field, and for that, I would never be too sure if this man would be doing the best he can."
She then thought of Adrian. "I am not sure what field Adrian is in, but I feel that he is our only option. Perhaps you can give a word to him about my... problem... and see what he can do?"
Personally, Juliet would have asked Adrian herself. They were close friends, the both of them, but Juliet wanted something more out of this. He wanted Jakob and Adrian to be friends and to trust each other. Juliet felt tension between them. A tension that needed to be stopped.
"Would you be able to talk to him?" she asked, desperately. "I do not think I have the courage to repeat what I said once more."

"Oh..." Jakob responded, a little disappointed. The prospect of talking to Adrian wasn't a pleasant one - he suspected Adrian would grow even more jealous when he discovered Juliet had told him of her pregnancy first. It could be productive, though... "Of course, I understand. I can have a word."
Jakob remained silent for a moment. "But what of Dale?"

"Dale is blinded by hate. This unsuspected news, I fear, would only bring the worse out of him." Juliet thought for a moment before speaking up. The witch knew that Dale was an ambitious man, and would find any moment to take away the power that Juliet worked so hard to earn.
"But then again, aren't we all?" she said, cryptically.

Jakob's brow furrowed in contemplation. "I suppose." he responded. "But it doesn't make us unjust."
Jakob had actually been asking about what Juliet made of Dale's plan to kill at Hogwarts, not what he would think of her pregnancy, but since she didn't even pick up on that Jakob doubted it really bothered her. Or if it did, she didn't want Jakob to know about it.
"I think I should go. Tomorrow will be a special day for us all, one way or another." He tried to suggest that he was only leaving because he needed rest. He wanted Juliet to think that he was there for her.

"Yes, I suppose." she said, understanfing Jakob's need of sleep. He has worked long and hard, so Juliet thinks, and deserves his eyes closed for at least a couple of hours.
"I best be going too. Tomorrow is going to be a busy day for us all. No doubt Dale is goingto make a scene, so I better find the best way to make sure he doesn't get caught." Juliet laughed softly to herself. She knew perfectly well that Dale was someone who planned carefully. However, when it comes to surprised outcomes, Dale is no better than Juliet herself.
She will have to talk to her other followers about this move. Bridgette did not seem to happy at all about this. Maybe she hada different plan at action.
With that, she waited for Jakob to leave. She dared not to tell anyone where she slept. Even her most trusted companions.
